Reports saying Mayo close to signing with Bucks. As a Bucks fan I see no other result besides this being a horrible, horrible mess of a singing.

That said, bet Todd will be excited to have his bro in town bringing NBA guys around.

Galway Eagle

Hope that having his bro around would help him get his mind ready to compete to his ability
Retire Terry Rand's jersey!

Skatastrophy

That would be a huge tie between MU's team and our local NBA team :)

I like it...for Todd.

Don't know why the Bucks just don't bomb this season and try to enter the Wiggins sweepstakes. Even if you don't get it, a top 5 draft pick is still gonna land you a stud next year too.

Exactly.  Maybe OJ wants to come to MKE for that very reason too.

+1.  end the mediocrity and just be terrible... working fine for the Brewers ;)

So amazingly frustrating. The east is so bad they will sneak into the 8th seed and that's all Kohl wants. This would've been a perfect year for the tank.

Unfortunately, OJ is the type that is on 4 teams in like five years. Doubt he moves around that much if he was known as a great teammate and hard worker.

Next man up could be me. When all your guards bolt, beggars can't be choosy.

Especially when you're in Milwaukee. Players aren't exactly lining up to play there.

Huh? OJ has only been on the Grizs aand Mavs?

What are the odds the Bucks will be scrambling to dump Mayo by next year?

That seems to be the rule of the NBA. Work like hell to clear cap room...overpay a bunch of mediocre players...immediately start trying to dump those salaries, and...wait for it....clear more cap room.

MarsupialMadness

Sounds like Todd's older brother has his own discipline issues:
(from his Wiki)
Mayo was late for a game-day shootaround and was taken out of the starting lineup starting November 20, 2010.[24] On a return flight to Memphis from Los Angeles, Mayo was involved in a fight with teammate Tony Allen over a debt from an in-flight card game.[24]

On January 27, the NBA suspended Mayo for 10 games following a positive test for the steroid dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA), which violates the league's anti-drug program. Mayo blamed an over the counter supplement that he didn't know was banned by the NBA for the positive test, but he declined to say which supplement he used.[25] He later said an unnamed energy drink he bought at a gas station contained the banned substance.[24]

Despite playing in all 66 games of the shortened 2011–12 season, Mayo did not start in any games for the Grizzlies, playing as a sixth man. When he was asked if being a reserve hurt his value, he answered: "I would say so, I would probably say so. What do you think?"

My bad. For some reason I thought he was with someone else. I was also counting the Bucks as the fourth. I think him being technically drafted by Minne threw me off.

Soooooo stupid. Why is Kohl content with getting an 8 seed once every few years but not getting any higher? They needed to tank with this upcoming draft but I guess if the team is semi-good and they are selling tickets then I guess Herb Kohl is happy. I cannot keep being a fan no matter how hard I try.

Kind of hilarious that they are testing for DHEA (not going to do much), but HGH was being used rampantly.

Are the Bucks still in the NBA? I thought they were a Development League Team.
I thought you were dead. Willie lives rent free in Reekers mind. Rick Pitino: "You can either complain or adapt."

I am with you guys. If OJ is around I see Todd getting suspended for something stupid.

Mobot

This will help the Bucks maintain their 8th playoff spot so that they can continue to be mediocre for the next 3-4 years.

It will have little to no impact on Todd Mayo's performance with Marquette.

I agree.  I think the problem is the same problem that has plagued the Bucks for the last 20 plus years.  Herb Kohl continues to influence the decisions of the general manager.  Herb doesn't want to rebuild and the Bucks will continue to tread water because of it.

Yeah, I can actually see this as not being very good for Todd.  Is having OJ around going to get him to do the work in the classroom?
