I'm feeling a commitment from Illinois being announced soon. Just saying.

CAINMUTINY

Any idea on who that might be?

The state of Illinois or Univ. of Illinois? Half their team is transferring out.

Alright, went through scout.com and looked at what Illinoisans we have offered for 2014, and this is what I found.

2014
Paul White
Sean O'Mara
Malek Harris

Getting White to commit would be spectacular, but I would be equally happy getting O'Mara. Don't know much about Harris, but he seems to be a late riser with a high ceiling. Any of these three would be a good get.

I bet it's Malek Harris

Your prediction is based on what?

Hard-nosed, 6'7" late-bloomer from the south side of Chicago. Seems like a Buzz type of player to me.

Note: I have no inside info. Just making an observation.

That would be my guess as well.

According to this article: http://mosports.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1509214 Harris said he was looking to take an unofficial visit to MU at the end of May.

"Three-star Rivals150 wing Malek Harris said he believes Missouri is close to coming with an offer. The 6-foot-7 forward also said he's looking to take an unofficial visit to Marquette at the end of this month."

From my alma mater Sandburg!  That would be a nice get!

I'm not one for bashing on recruits but Harris didn't impress me when I was film from sanburgs game vs stagg I'm a player in that conference
It's one game so small sample it's the same conference reggie smith was from and he actually played against my school and didn't do much either

Wait, what?

marquette20

High basketball has a lot of scouting now so I saw a game Harris played in against their rival stagg

I'm not one for bashing on posters, but some spelling and punctuation would do you some good.

Oh well, it's not Okafor.

The nation's top-ranked recruit in the Class of 2014 narrowed his list to eight schools on Wednesday.

Center Jahlil Okafor (Chicago/Whitney Young) tweeted out his list of finalists by declaring, "In no particular order: My final 8 Arizona, Baylor, Duke, Illinois, Kentucky, Kansas, Michigan State, Ohio State."

Nice no Indiana. I saw something recently that he and that Jones PG from Minnesota were going to go to school together and IU was in on both of them.

Indiana not getting them is a victory for me. Let's Go Red Wings
Bring back FFP!!!

Well he may not have impressed you but this is what Eric Bossi of Rivals had to say about him after the April recruiting period

SF/PF Malek Harris, Orland Park (Ill.) Sandburg
Playing for the Illinois Wolves, the 6-foot-7 Harris has become a favorite of coaches and scouts. Ranked No. 120 nationally in the class of 2014, Harris is due for a bump in the rankings. He is quick, relentless in his pursuit of the ball and is a lengthy playmaker who poses matchup problems because of his ability to use the dribble. Harris has become one of the hottest targets in the Midwest for good reason. Iowa, Marquette, Auburn, Creighton, Kansas State, DePaul and Oregon State are among his offers and there are plenty more scrambling for attention.

Baylor?????

Scott Drew either has incredible recruiting skills or some very rich boosters behind him... Baylor seems to be on every top recruit's final list.
