Well he may not have impressed you but this is what Eric Bossi of Rivals had to say about him after the April recruiting period

SF/PF Malek Harris, Orland Park (Ill.) Sandburg
Playing for the Illinois Wolves, the 6-foot-7 Harris has become a favorite of coaches and scouts. Ranked No. 120 nationally in the class of 2014, Harris is due for a bump in the rankings. He is quick, relentless in his pursuit of the ball and is a lengthy playmaker who poses matchup problems because of his ability to use the dribble. Harris has become one of the hottest targets in the Midwest for good reason. Iowa, Marquette, Auburn, Creighton, Kansas State, DePaul and Oregon State are among his offers and there are plenty more scrambling for attention.

Man, does that description sound like a Buzz type player.  Wow.

Don't pay too much attention to that.  As people are saying, he is bound to go up.  I think it would be accurate to describe him as a late-bloomer.  (As opposed to what some people are saying about Paul White BTW.)

Sounds lime you favor Malek. Is this a good get for Marquette?

I have absolutely no idea if this is the guy wadesworld is talking about, but from what I read he sounds very much like a Buzz type player who is quickly rising.

Earl Tatum

Let's get the great Chew recruiting him. Way he bragged up, he could have gotten anyone we wanted.

We need a big center.

Agree we need a big center.  Why are we stuck on 6'7" players.  It would help if we targeted 6'9" and up players.

If you don't think we are recruiting centers, you are mistaken.

No Terror Stink, we need 6'9 forwards to dominate.

FWIW, Jerry Meyer predicted a Marquette commitment from Malek Harris on May 25th. And he's due to visit June 26th.

I am not familiar with Jerry Meyer. How authoritative is he?

Not sure which of these I found funnier. Probably best to consider them in different categories: unintentionally funny and intentionally funny.
