Is anyone else getting sick of wades antics and immaturity on the court? The guy is one of the dirtiest players in the NBA and throws hissyfits regularly. I don't understand how the Marquette community can continue to idolize him the way we do. I understand what he's done for Marquette but I'm continually embarrassed by his cheap shots.

A couple of those fouls look like fouls committed last year by players for Indiana.

And away we go.....
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

Quote from: muguru
No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Because he helped bring our program back to national prominence.  All NBA stars are Premadonas.  Wade begat the 3 Amigos, who begat Lazar, who begat DJO, Jay Crowder and Jimmy Butler.  Respect what Wade did for MU.  I'm sick of Heat haters.  STFU.  The Bulls decent with Rose and mediocre without him.  Get over it.

hmm then you didnt watch the Pacers last season...they did the same thing.

Not sure what antics you are referring to. Would they be like when Hansborough jumped on top of Wade and then elbowed him in the back when he came down?

Or perhaps you are comparing to game 1 when I believe it was Hill who grabbed Wade by the ankle when
Wade had a free path to the basket.

Or maybe it was like the cheap shot elbow that West gave to James in game 2.
Fface it, it is the NBA, and there is plenty of that useless crap going around by many players.

No. He is a great player, and seemingly a classy person off the court. Wade is still an outstanding representative of the MU family. I sometimes think that some people's hatred of all things Crean or all things Lebron / "The Decision" has clouded their perspective on Wade.

Also, Bulls fans seem to have generally "cooled" on him, but of course that has nothing to do with his decision to not play for their team.

Other than perhaps Tim Duncan widely regarded as the poster boy of NBA.  We are lucky to have him affiliated with our university. How many basketball programs can say they produced Hall of Famers? Gold Medalists? Sportsmen of the Year? Multiple NBA champions? Top 5 NBA draftees? On and on. He plays to win. I am sick of sour grapes Bulls fans.

It isn't just sour grapes of Bulls fans. There are many Heat Haters out there. There were many posts on this board during the Bulls series about Wade whining. I watched all the games and did not witness any Wade whining but saw a lot of Bull whining and cheap shots.
Wade has taken a tremendous pounding during his Hall of fame career, yet people complain that he is a dirty player. If he is a dirty player, then that label also must be placed on a hell of a lot of other NBA players.

I think for the most part Wade behaves in a positive manner and for the most part we can all be proud he went to Marquette.

Amen!  One could argue that Wade being recognized last night with the Community Assist Award last night, is the most impressive accolade of them all.

Off the court he's a fine representative but his on-court antics are childish and immature. I'm not sure why the Pacers or Bulls have been brought up as I didn't make any comparisons. I mentioned that he did great things for our university but that doesn't give him a pass to be a big baby on the court. Not all stars are like that and that's not an excuse even if they were.

Not really. Wade is a gifted athlete, loving father, and contributing member of his community.

Tom Crean is an arrogant, self-centered, self-serving a$$hole.

Honestly, watched the entire video didn't see anything that really bothered me.  Haters gonna hate.  He competes, occasionally that makes him over react to stuff that happens in the game.  Big deal.  If that bothers you, you better hate on just about everyone in the NBA, definitely all the big stars.

ZiggysFryBoy

The only time Wade has embarrassed himself or MU was when he was givin Star Jones a ride on the bone roller coaster.

We owe a lot to Dwyane Wade.  He raised the visability of the program.  He almost overnight increased enrollment at MU, which allowed the university to become more selective.  It made our degrees more valuable.

But, by no means do I consider Wade a good guy.  Most importantly, he committed to his wife and kids, and then hooked up with every girl possible.  His wife was actually a pretty down to earth person and intelligent.  Wade became famous and strayed, which I have zero respect for.  I don't know the personal lives of Wes, Jimmy, Jae, etc., but it is pretty easy to see through the books and awards of Wade.

It is easy for you to sit her and pass judgement him...but you can't. I knew the minute he hooked up with Miami and Shaq and went down to South Beach he was done. I bet he knew it deep down after one month there as well.
We all would have fell into that trap if we were him and don't lie and say you wouldn't be tested in that way. You are not in his shoes nor do you have his talent and face the temptations and tests that being drafted by Pat Riley and the Miami Heat.
Of all places in the country for him to go to Miami Florida and South Beach. Come on now...get with it. Fans should just stay fans and stay out of his person life that has nothing to do with you.

He is was and is the godsend this program needed. 10 years later you could not ask for a greater elevation then the MU program took all because or indirectly because of him and his time here helping instill the MU 'Brand' that has helped pave the way for others to make it to the NBA on their own merits.

But I respect him be even more with his work with the Boys & Girls Clubs and his example with Fatherhood in writing his own book on the subject of which you have to remember he came to MU with a newborn baby infant to look after and juggled them both while in college playing at a high level and pretty much had an obligation to marry his high school sweetheart with no pre-nupital agreement no less.

It became harder and harder to maintain a great deal of his beliefs with the amount of fame, fortune. and groupies and Gold diggers chasing him down and around South Beach and everywhere. God's Grace might be sufficient for him in that area. So I just leave that part alone because I am not perfect either and I am not Jesus, and neither is no one here.

And how in the heck do you figure he "hooked up" with every girl possible? How do you know? And at times the girls probably ran him down too! It is not always the man chasing women down I might add. And may I ask also, what business if that of yours? What does that matter? Dwayne is a grown man...peeves me off when fans do this...Wade has kept his nose quite clean compared to most.

He is a tremendous basketball player when he is not kicking guys in the nuts and not getting back on defense whining about a call, that is beneath him and makes him look cheap at times but no one is perfect.

If I was his friend I would even tell him to just respect the game at all times I say especially when it has been as good to you as it has him. HE gets his fair share of calls...play through it.

But from what I have seen a great young man off the court too. I bet his family is proud of him and his boys [sons] and in the end...that is all that matters.

Lets just enjoy our lives...shall we?

Are you kidding? Is that Star Jones? Wade could not be that desperate for poontang. Then again, I have been cautioned to not believe everything I read, so I choose not to believe this.

Wearing those capri pants has to be a close second.

The Process

James is the crybaby, not Wade. I have watched too many instances of James throwing s fit to an official that would have gotten most other players tossed.

The most egregious example? When he screamed at the officials after getting a T versus the Bucks. And they took it back.
Relax. Respect the Process.
