Confirmed?

Also, I'm totally shocked... ::)

Does Cam still want to claim he didn't know anything? unnatural carnal knowledgeing BS.

Anyone think this results in total destruction of the Auburn football program/athletic department by the NCAA? After Penn St, Ohio St, Miami.. they've gotta drop some serious punishment

It really isn't surprising.  Its the SEC, one school eventually gets caught doing what they all do.  Cheat their asses off.

They still won the National Championship, produced a Heisman winner who became the NFL's #1 pick and got all the money that goes along with those things. Cheaters never prosper, huh?

Why are we to believe a kid sitting in jail?  This is not an NCAA investigation.  Look at Miami via Charles Robinson.  These journalists, especially ones trying to drive traffic like Roberts is to her own site, aren't held to the same standards as the police or NCAA when it comes to burden of proof.

Burden, schmurden.  The reason that our legal system (the criminal side, any way) presumes innocence is because the vast majority of the population is innocent.  Therefore, since the vast majority of SEC schools cheat, we should be presuming guilt, no?
Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

If this is all presumed true, or found to be true through more investigation, I have a good question.... How incompetent is the NCAA investigatory staff? They were at Auburn almost the entire year sniffing around the Cam Newton/Cam's Dad thing and they didn't find any of this stuff at all?! Morons.

Its burden of proof.  They have to be able to definitively prove that these allegations occurred.  An athlete accepting $400 in cash is not proof without a record of this.

I can almost assure you that the NCAA new they were dirty, but couldn't overcome a burden of proof.  The schools know how the game is played and covers their own tail.

The NCAA had no interest in finding anything on Newton. Suspending the biggest name player from the biggest game of the season would have hurt their bottom line.

The NCAA has no dog in the BCS Championship.  The BCS is a wholly separate entity from the NCAA.
