the writing done by goodman, parish, etc. all seem to point towards a rift as well...don't think it's all a lie.  maybe LW is backing off...

Or maybe, just maybe, we trust the guy who's been around the program day-to-day over the last seven months who (finally) decided to set the record straight that there's no apparent rift.

Mike Deane

I don't think Hunt meant that there is no rift, but the apparent rift is somehow exaggerated.

Further, Hunt hints that Marquette could still be a stepping job for Buzz if some particular jobs are available.  (Like Roy Williams left Kansas for UNC.)

The question is how to make Marquette a place hard for Buzz to leave - win some championships?

The answer is - which Hunt gave - that MU is already that place! There will ALWAYS be 4-5 "top" jobs that ANYONE/EVERYONE would go to.

As happy as everyone on this board probably is, if they were offered to be CEO of Harley Davidson, we'd all probably go.

It's April 1st, clearly a joke by Hunt.  LW is evil and must be destroyed

Hopefully people can put away the Reynolds Wrap.  If he leaves, he leaves.  It won't be because MU doesn't want him.  PERIOD.

GoldenZebra

Like I said numerous times, all this talk is ridiculous about Buzz leaving.

Anybody else see the poll on the side of the article?

"How many more years will Buzz Williams coach Marquette"

1,428 responses

18% none
29% 1-2
16% 3-4
36% 5 or more

So almost half think that he will be gone within two years, despite the fact that the article located several inches from the 'submit vote' button says that he has it really good at MU.

Buzz ain't leavin' Van, he's not leavin' Chris, Jamil, or Davante.

Wishful thinking by Badger fans.
Have some patience, FFS.

San Diego Warrior

I live in Minnesota, and have been listening to KFAN today.  Buzz's name has been mentioned countless times, and they are really delusional here.

Oh, and the common man - the afternoon guy, keeps calling him Buzz Aldridge.

not with an attitude like that, Mister.

Clearly, we just need more GIFs

Ugh...I never should've taken him to see "The Wiz".

The movie or the play.

Both.

I will personally make this thread six pages long with nothing but Archer GIFs. Everyone is welcome ashore!
