Good call Chicos. 100% agree. Buzz got as much as he possibly could out of this team. Looking at the lineup on paper, I think we all would have loved and Elite 8 run and a BEast Title share at the start of the season (or after the UWGB game).

Damn right.  Shooting all of those 3s really hurt us though.  The opportunities were there.  Just got outplayed.

Played poorly....give credit to SU....I thought somewhat bad game plan and bad execution but...wow....what a ride.   This team was picked middle of the conference and shared the title with an elite 8 run to boot.....almost everyone back next year and a highly regarded recruitment class coming in...our future is brighter than bright!!!

Only thread worth posting in now. Great season but a bittersweet taste left with this game. Hope it leaves that same feeling with the team and we'll take another step towards glory next year.

Chico, you said it well. Bummed out big time right now, but the ride was great. This was a team that exceeded expectations. Good class coming in - unless he's got some NBA savants indicating he'll be drafted, Vander should come back. Agree that the future is looking good.

Very few if any of us could've predicted we'd be playing to get into the Final Four, after losing Jae and DJO. Big East regular season co-champions and an Elite 8 appearance. Next year it's Final Four or bust.

In fact, we were predicted to finish 7th in the BEAST.  I'd say we surpassed those predictions.

Its funny because I think Lazar's senior team making the tourney was even more unexpected for me than this season, but this season was totally out of left field. I'm really excited about what our guys accomplished this year and what next season has in store. Go Marquette and boys, hang your heads high!

Great run. Great season. Amazing we got this far with our poor outside shooting.  Vander will be even better next year. I suspect Taylor will be a good shooter and some of our incoming freshmen will be good shooters. Mayo might even get his head together.
