State Street Warrior

Alright was thinking as I nearly had a heart attack (again) some of you old farts might have too.  I feel we need the buddy system to make sure everyone survived.

4everwarriors

Yo, checkin' in. Could run a f*ckin' marathon right now, bro.
"Give 'Em Hell, Al"

WellsstreetWanderer

Pumped up enough to play 15 seconds of that game..... During a. Timeout

dgies9156

I survived -- barely. This 78 Warrior darn near died over this one!!!!

denverMU

Just barely.  It's been snowing all day in Denver, so my son tells my wife right before the game starts, " it's been a great day to stay inside, relax, and listen to Dad yell at the tv". He was right, that last out of bounds play almost killed me.

wiscwarrior

Checkin' in - sent the wife to bed - I'll be up for awhile. Heart rate getting back to normal.  ;D

All this talk of rights.  So little talk of responsibilities.

Spaniel with a Short Tail

1980 with 1975 next to me. Heart rates back to normal and catching up on Scoop.

I watched the game with some former T Mobile colleagues at a sports bar in Bellevue, WA. I was the lone Marquette fan in a sea of Zags fans (who were also cheering for Marquette, btw.) Anyhow, at the end of our game several Zags commented every Marquette game they've ever seen has been a down to the wire barn burner. They asked how many of us have coronaries! I left at the end of our game so I missed the end of their game. Sorry that happened at the Zags are really great people, for the most part.

Death on call

Goose

This makes old Warriors young. We have been waiting three decades for a top level coach and team. This was easy for me!

ATWizJr

Had to kick the daughter and the dog out of the room as I screamed at the TV.  Too much stress for this 68 year old! GO Warriors!

Dr. Blackheart

This team has stones including the coach who had to go through a lot this week.

Goose

Us old Warriors are minority on here. We have decades of experience and knowledge. No being a kitten for over tight games.

Agree with that, Goose. It's been a long wait. We finally have someone who not only gets us there but does something with it. The future is great, my friend.

Slim

Thanks for askin'. I'm fine.

When Junior took the inbounds pass under the basket and made that unorthodox falling shot, I jumped up ( as much as I can anymore) and repeatedly shadow boxed with the couch cushion. i then watched the replay and Trent was mimicking each punch I made. - I will always be a part of this team

drbob

Excited  like  I was back in late 60's and early 70's  God its never easy  2 wins by 3 pts total   best game of the tourney  and best dance!!!

bilsu

I survived, but I only want a close game if we win. I turned 60 last year and celebrated it by running the Milwaukee Lakefront Marathon in October. Last marathon before that was in 1997. That was tough, but those last 4 seconds were tougher on me.

Goose

Old Warriors,

I am the youngest Old Warrior out here and I have been waiting for replacement for Al since I was in eight grade and really believe we have found one. Al bore my heart a dozen times as kid and I accepted it because we had studs and Al was nuts. I think we have might have so etching here.

Lennys Tap

Compared to Davidson, this was a walk in the park. I was actually comparatively calm (my wife would disagree, I'm sure) except for the final 2.9 seconds.

I said the same thing to my son. I was pretty calm the whole game...even whan we were trailing. But I was very nervous that last 2.9 seconds.
Never wrestle with a pig.  You both get dirty, and the pig likes it.

Spaniel with a Short Tail

What happened the last 2.9 seconds!?!? I think I dozed off...  ;D

I'm with Goose...keeps me young!

Go Warriors!

Benny B

Yeah... slightly less than middle age Warrior here (born 8-1/2 months to the day after Al retired).  After this weekend, I'm feeling like you old guys.... as though I should be encouraging children to take motorcycle lessons, because I'm going to need some new organs soon.

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.
