What I also love about that play was the offensive rebounding position. Jamil was almost at eye level with the rim on the left side with his hand over the ball as it rattled in. Davante was in the middle in front of the rim and Trent was on the left side elevated for a putback. Great follow through. Lots of players freeze in situations like that. Pretty cool.

Ironic.  The guy who labelled Blue as "overhyped" gives him a staring role in one of his cute little videos.

Not too mention throwing Wilson under the bus...   ::)

"Odds on what?  Newbill vs. Overhyped Blue?  I don't need any odds.  I've seen both of them play and I'm certainly not impressed with Vander's goofy looking jumper.  As for Jamil Wilson...Oregon misses him about as much as ESPN does Joe Theismann on it's football telecasts.  He's another average player who couldn't find his way around the court in year one.  "

I was on a plane during the game, so I didn't get to see it until I came home last night and watched it off of my DVR.  I was disappointed that they didn't broadcast more of the post-game celebration.

When they showed everyone making that big dog pile on top of Vander, though, I was praying that Davante wouldn't decide to jump on top of it.
Have some patience, FFS.

Brad is from the "Choking dogs" school of Marquette/Buzz fans. Chico views him as an ally.

Damn. The guy makes a video celebrating the team winning the Big East and gets sh*t on. After his first 2 years here, everybody doubted Vander's abilities. Why pile on here?

Well that got personal fast.
“All men dream; but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds wake in the day to find that it was vanity; but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act out their dreams with open eyes, to make it possible.” - T.E. Lawrence

Brad had a personal relationship with DJ Newbill so I understand his hurt/anger over the whole affair. Water under the bridge now, my apologies for stirring the pot.

It was a little bit more than simply doubting his abilities...but whatever...

I don't think it was a slight to MU. I think the fact the game went into OT ate up whatever time they could have given a post game. They went to another game that was already in progress (Duke-UNC, I think.)

No we didn't all $hit on Vander, look at my previous comments, not once will you see me pile on him or even critisize him unlike some players i have (Junior)

I know Sultan was also a huge Van supporter.

Oh, I did realize it was a time-constraint issue. I just would have liked to have seen it.  Loved the pictures everyone posted, though.
