This may be interesting to those who didn't make it to the BC for a game this year .. The ESPN broadcasts miss all this stuff, of course.

I shot video for the first 8 minutes or so .. From the national anthem to Otule's first bucket.

MU does a nice job in producing their event.

Excellent. Thanks for sharing.

Very nice.

You need to demand a spot next to John Dodds so that you too can fist bump each player.
Ludum habemus.

My season tickets are in the second row of the upper deck so I never see the bottom of the scoreboard.

Did I see in your video they have the players picture beneath it during the player introductions?  That's awesome if so.

Wow. That is really electric. It was a lot different back in our day. A lot less vocal.

BTW, why does Dodds get a seat on press row? Because of his website?  The guys running this should get the same then. Is Dodds in the blue suit with the white hair?

He has been the official score keeper for Marquette for a very long time.
But I like to throw handfuls...

No kidding. Doesn't that compromise his ethical responsibilities as a professional journalist?

As a member of the chorus back in the 60s that was awesome. Believe me to keep that pitch in your ear with 18000 plus screaming is not an easy task. And...back in the day would have never been allowed to wear jeans; strictly suits and ties for the guys, a skirt and blouse for the ladies.

Archie

That was great! The students were really pumped!

He's a professional insurance guy.  He runs a website as a hobby / labor of love.

As for Scoop or CS being on the scorer's table / press row .. no thanks.   Back when I used to take game photos, while I enjoyed that hobby, it took something away from the game, trying to get a shot.  Being a fan is much nicer.  -- Dodds is working on that table, keeping stats requires a lot of concentration.

Glad you found the zoom button on the camera.   :D

Thanks for sharing, good stuff.

Zoom:   A delicate balance between an interesting video and making people throw up.

Isn't Dodds a lawyer? I haven't been to his site in a long time but often references going to MU Law School.

As for being on Press Row, hell I'm not saying you need to actually do anything but sit courtside and enjoy a great view.

Yes, he has a law degree, but works in the insurance industry.

The Sales Department should do a professionally produced version of the pregame stuff, as well as some of the activities that go on during timeouts, to promote ticket sales. In other words, "look at what you are missing when you watch on TV instead of coming to the game."
Have some patience, FFS.

Yea, but you get to look out your window and see snow capped mountains. Life is about trade offs. You did well.
