Packer fans are the worst in the NFL. Been at Marquette for 1.5 years now. Keep to myself during football games and still get crap talked to me just because im a Bears fan. They really dont shut up. On the topic at hand though really glad I live in Chicago and not anywhere in Wisconsin.

Gotta love the FIBs who complain about how much Wisconsin/Milwaukee/Wisconsinites suck. Here's an idea, find a school in the amazing city that is Chicago then. Nobody forced you to spend 4 years of your precious life living in a sh!thole, you chose to come up here for school.

Never said anything about Milwaukee. I love the city. Im a city kid. Its the small towns that get to me in Wisconsin and Illinois.

Sorry shouldn't have directed it just at you. Just all Chicago kids who come up here and talk about how sh!tty Milwaukee is and how much it sucks. If they didn't have the choice and were just drafted to a college I'd feel bad for you all, but you made the choice to be here. No sympathy for you there. ("You" being the Chicago kids who complain about Milwaukee)

Back on topic, Chuckett is the worst. Chuck is the dumbest co host ever next to Sparky. Josh Vernier was the only good guy on that station and he left for KC last Fall. Since then it's a joke. And dont get me started on Bill Michaels. That hack is still looking for the DJO bar brawl Zapruder film.

Face it, when it comes to local sports talk radio, Milwaukee is Amateur-Hour.

MUfan12

Chuck is the absolute worst radio host I have ever heard. The only sport the guy knows is pro wrestling. The rest of the time he stutters crap and gets called out for it. You can almost hear the disdain in his voice every time he has to talk about MU.

That station is horrible. Between the morning show, the Big Eunuch, and Gary Ellerson's best attempts at English, I can't believe they have enough listeners to stay afloat.

So glad I'm not surrounded by them on the West Coast.

We only have those insufferable USC alums to deal with. Man, there are more Trojans in Seattle than a Vegas Cat House.

Nice.  Although I always felt time moved slower in the 'lanche.

What a joke.  You've clearly never been to the old Veteran's stadium as a Redskins fan.

You have no idea what a bad fan is.

I don't think "Packer fans are the worst", but I will say that "NFL fans are the worst", which is part of the reason I sort of hate the NFL.

People get so emotionally invested that it's not even fun.

If I go to (insert NFL stadium) and cheer politely for the road team, odds are that I will still get harassed on my way in/out... especially if the road team wins. I'm sorry, I don't enjoy engaging in arguments with random drunk dudes. I prefer to argue on the internet, like a civilized person.

The whole Packers/Bears thing gets taken to a whole other level when one is good and the other is bad/choke themselves out of a playoff spot :D

Generalize much, wades?

Most of the Chicagoans I know who attended Marquette love Milwaukee.  My own daughter intends to stay there once she graduates.

And Chicago is a fun place to visit, but I can't wait to get out of here once I retire.  The high cost of living, the corruption, the financial woes, the crime, the traffic -- they can keep it.
Have some patience, FFS.

It's insane in the NFL.   95% of the people are friendly, welcoming and respectful when showed respect.   However, there always are 5% (at every stadium) that are the absolute worst and almost ruin the day - drunk, obnoxious, in your face even though you never even spoke a word to them or even looked at them.

Last playoffs - Minnesota fans were complete pricks (almost every one of them)  on the way IN to the stadium.  On the way out, they were no where to be found.     At San Fran, had an awesome time with SF fans before the game (they treated us almost like family).  But at the game, there were 2 or 3 complete assholes who pretty much ruined the experience (other than the 2nd half ruining it as well).

You want to listen to great college sports talk, listen to the Tim Brando Show. It's on CBS Sports Network & Sirium Xm radio, channel 91.

jficke13

It's weird, for how much I love sports, I can barely stand sports talk radio. I feel like the quality is always poor. Call-in segments are agonizing. I've heard of people hate-listening to opposing team's sports talk the morning after beating them, but that would just frustrate me too.

Also as a sidenote: I've lived in Milwaukee my entire life, and this thread was the first time I ever heard that there's a station on 1250.

Everyone do yourself a favor and just stop listening to them.  They are seriously at the bottom of the ratings heap the way it is, it won't be long and they won't be around.

And you know packer fans are the worst in the nfl because you lived in every other nfl city?  It is ridiculous to proclaim your bitter rival the  worst fans. I am sure packer fans think the bear and viking fans are the worst and vice versa. I would also guess cowboy fans think redskin and giant fans are the worst and vice versa.

As far as chuck and wickett, it amazes me that either are still on the air. You have to know their schtick, say something controversial to get attention. If you listen you fall right into their trap. Push the little button on your radio or steering wheel and listen to something else.

warriorchick

Don't ever say you have seen the worst fans ever until you have attended a sporting event in Philadelphia while wearing the opposing team's jersey.

Don't chose to live in Milwaukee for 4 years if it sucks so much. For those who enjoy Milwaukee then they made a good decision for themself.

Have absolutelyno problem with the White Sox (even though a lot of their fans seemingly walk over from the trailer park to catch a game at the Cell...). For the most part I have no problem with the Bears other than Jay Cutler being a baby (he is) and Brandon Marshall trying to trash talk the Packers before yet another loss during their 2nd straight late season collapse. Have a much bigger problem with the 49ers, Ravens, Eagles, Vikings, Jets, etc. Have no problem with the Bulls whatsoever.

The city itself? It sucks. Way too many people in not enough space. Hate having to drive through it. Would hate living there. Which is why I did not choose to even look at a college in that city. And the Cubs? Awful. But hey, this is the year! Just like the last 100+

It would be rare for an 18 year old to take into account the city or town their University is located beyond that University's borders. Parents may be aware but little Johnny isn't turning down Yale even though parts of New Haven are tragically depressed nor is little Suzie turning down Mississippi even though Oxford is still bound by a persistent strain of segregation.
