Players like Davante Gardner, Jake Thomas, Trent Lockett, and Jamil Wilson have been great contributors to this team and will help them keep soaring in postseason.

Jake Thomas?

It will come down to the performances of MU, UL and GU. Syr wont be in the race - we play them at home so that should be a win. They still have another game with UL and two with GU. No one has a more difficult schedule than them the rest of the way.

And those 4 are all getting the double-bye barring meltdowns.

Great! The conference title is in the bag!

I mean, it makes me feel good that an "expert" who obviously hasn't seen Marquette play one minute in the Big East is picking us to win it!

Agree on the double byes. I will be pretty surprised if UL doesn't end up as the number one seed in the BET.

Would not surprise me in the least to see UL win out from here.  This is their modus operandi every year... underperform early and come on strong in late February and March.

I'm guessing that he saw the last win over Pitt.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Maybe he googled Jake Thomas and got the youtube from SDSU?

Hate to pile on someone who is most likely an amateur writer, but this is literally one of the most uniformed sports articles I have ever read.

Well, he certainly didn't watch the cincy game if he thought that was a "fluke" loss.

But with one of the best lines I've read in a recent sports article:
"They are not the greatest on shooting behind the arc shooting the tri-factor.."

This is a content farm piece. It's likely either written by a robot or outsourced to SE Asia. The writer has never seen MU play, nor do they follow the BE. It's either an algorithm or someone filling in blanks using a roster/stat sheet.

Not if he thinks Jake Thomas is one of the team's "great contributors."

Bullseye. Further evidence that SEO, BleacherReport, and Huffington Post have ruined journalism.

And it's why I'm terribly disappointed that Will Carroll (formerly of SI) joined Bleacher Report a couple months back.  He's WAY better than that.
Relax. Respect the Process.
