Almost 8 minutes in and ND still looking for it's first FG.
Let's go Pitt.

keefe

Almost 10 minutes in and the score is 11-1.

ACC here we both come!

GoldenZebra

ND is 1-19 wit 7 minutes left in the half. Holy. Cow.

Given Pitts last four games on the schedule are likely wins; gotta root for ND.  13-5 Pitt would make little margin for error for MU for that double bye

RushmoreAcademy

I hope that this is the game ND brings us later this year.  The ball is going to the post to die.

So the domers are making a gmae out of it now.
Both teams need better players! ;D

Can't believe we're living in the land of F 452/1984/Animal Farm/Brave New World/Handmaid's Tale. When travel to Mars begins, expect Starship Troopers

GoldenZebra

Pitt is getting embarrassed on National TV, blowing that lead!

A fantastic 'Coach Al' technical foul by Brey has awakened ND as we get to the half.  They were down 19-3 with 4 minutes to go.  It's now 22-19.  Game on.

This is why I couldn't understand why people gave Buzz so much grief about his T against Georgetown.  It could easily have sparked us to a win. Coaches get too much credit when things go well and too much blame when they go poorly.

Wow this game is terrible!

Pitt looks awful. We would have beat them by 50 with how we shot and the way they are playing now.
Lazar picking up where the BIG 3 left off....

Wow is right.  ND starts off 1 for 19 from field.  14 for 24 since and up six with six to go.

Wow this game is terrible!

Unfortunately those words are uttered too routinely today about many college basketball games.

Tugg Speedman

ND down 19-3 and Brey get a "T"  Since then ND has outscored Pitt 40-17

Wonder if the ACC is gonna kick these 2 suckers right back out of the conference?

I think it is better for us to have ND win this game...they have a harder schedule coming up compared to Pitt (though we own that tie breaker) and we still get to play ND at home.

+1 ... Pitt now has six losses.  We have the possibility to give ND its sixth loss next week (if they do not get it first as this is the same ND team blown-out by Providence 48 hours ago).

buckchuckler

Just a brutal loss for Pitt

Before or after the ACC implodes?

What a shitty basketball game? Pitt scored 20 points over the last 30 minutes. At home. Adios and good riddance to bad rubbish.

Brey wanted a technical to wake up his team.   Buzz was asking the proper official to make the proper call.   He wasn't going for a T because his team was engaged and closing the gap.   Bad officiating in the MU game, good coaching in the ND game.

No doubt the ND win helps MU.  Pitt really doesn't have a horribly tough game left.  ND's schedule is brutal down the stretch.  Absolute props to Brey for getting his team's head in the game and carefully using both his 'T' and his timeouts.  There's a reason he's won 3 of the last 6 coach of the year awards.
