From Bucks TV guy, Jim Paschke-

@Paschketball: Breaking News. The now famous BMO Harris Bradley Center bat, of ESPN fame, has been successfully and safely found, caught and released.

@Paschketball: Surprised at how many people want details. Bat apparently found in East Atrium of BMO Harris Bradley Center.

Don't believe it. Just be extra cautious in the pregame buffet line.

On one of TMJ4's interviews, a student had mentioned that a bird or bat flew in with her while entering before the game and the security guard didn't believe her.  That was hilarious... never laughed so hard watching a b-ball game at Major Goolsby's.

Bat update: The bat has left the BMO Harris Bradley Center

By Don Walker of the Journal Sentinel

The bat has left the building.

The bat that made a most unwelcome appearance at the BMO Harris Bradley Center on Saturday was captured alive about 2:15 p.m. Monday and released outside, where it flew away.

Brenna Sadler, a BMO Harris Bradley Center spokeswoman, said arena officials had brought in pest-control experts to find the bat. The experts tried to re-create the game setting in the empty arena, with lights and noise, thinking that might agitate the bat and get it to come out of its hiding place.

And it worked. The noise included a combination of hard rock and high-frequency audio tones.

The bat flew into the East Lobby, where pest-control workers were able to coax it to the ground and get it out the door, Sadler said.

Just in case the bat has a friend, there will be some animal-control officers on duty tonight at the arena for the South Florida-Marquette game. The game begins at 8 p.m.

Sadler said longtime employees reported that Saturday's incident was believed to be the first time a bat got inside the building. The building first opened in October 1988.

Sadler said there has never been a problem with bats before. Officials believe it was an isolated case and are assuming the mammal came through a regular door or the dock area. There have been birds in the building before, but never a bat.

At Saturday's Providence-Marquette game, the bat appeared in the second half, forcing the stoppage of play several times. Arena officials then dimmed the lights inside the building and the bat never came back.

Faux bat must be hung (upside down of course) near the MU banners.

So, they said the bat came out during the noise they were pumping into the arena. Why did he not come back during the Bucks game. The way the NBA pumps all that noise.

Agreed - No such thing as "just one bat"!    ;D
All this talk of rights.  So little talk of responsibilities.

Capture getting played on ESPN. Stay tuned.

The whole bat thing jumped the shark at tonight's USF game. A member of the student section, dressed as batman helped kill it. They showed him too long and his lack of creativity helped forever ruin the bat incident for me.

We really cant go one day without bashing the student section? It was funny and you knew it was gonna happen. Deal with it.

The student section has done a great job this year. I saw a tweet tonight (might have been from Paint Touches, not sure) quoting Buzz as saying that a big reason for our home court success is the energy of the student section.

I take it that you weren't at the game. If you were there maybe you went to the restroom or something at the break that this kid was on the Jumbotron. It started funny then quickly declined. He simply ran around then up the stairs all the while trying to dodge imaginary towels. Funny but then he ran out of stuff to do and would stop and point somewhere or would simply looked like he was out of ideas. I mean they let him run around down there, but you'd think that the in game organizers or someone would have handed out towels or let him run on the court and have cheerleaders try to throw towels on to. To quote you, "you knew it was gonna happen." Yes, we all knew it. Why not make it all the more memorable. In addition to that, as we all knew it was going to happen, the big head was a bat on a stick.

It was nice while it lasted.

Also, I am not trying to bash the student sections enthusiasm because I do think they have been much louder this year then in years past. However, the USF student attendance was embarrassing. There were maybe 15 kids in the upper level. I know it's 'only USF' but the  team is #25 in the country and tied for first in the BEast and we had barely filled the lower level student section. What's the excuse? It was Monday? It's not mid-terms. The late start? If 8 is too late for a college kid- pathetic. There was plenty of time to get your work done to make this game.

Noise: we are doing pretty damn good.
Attendance: certainly lacking.
