Just went to the WI state fair yesterday.. saw LOTS of people walking around with MU bags and MU stickers applied to their arms or faces.. very cool!  Found out where they were getting the stuff from (in the Products building behind the Lion's Club corn station).  Nice setup.. various MU t-shirts for $10 each in all sizes.. (one of which was the light blue anniversary shirt they gave out during the blue out game last year).. picked up a few nice ones to add to my wardrobe.
They had a popular hoops game for the kids and it was pretty packed.. in fact the whole booth was full of people.. also had a "how high can you jump" thing where in the background was a cardboard cutout of DJ at the top of his vertical leap.. CRAZY HIGH.. If I could jump half of that I would be proud.. you read the numbers on his stats but they don't really hit you until you see it that close up!

Then I walked on and saw UWM, MATC, Cardinal Stritch, and UW@Madison.. their booths were sooo dead.  They too were offering bags and stickers but let me tell you I didn't see a single one of those all day long.  Made me proud :)

MU's been doing a booth at the State Fair for maybe 5 years now.  In the past, Crean would show up and shake hands, etc.  I don't think he's done that the past couple years, though.   Each year, they get a little better, more stuff.

yeah.. couldn't find it 3 years ago.. found it 2 years ago and it was ok.. but never saw many people walking around with MU stuff (bags, stickers, and even a bunch with the shirts on) as I did this year.

Lot longer than that...we had booths setup there back in the mid 1990's.

will MU have anything at Irish Fest?

mu_hilltopper

(My bad, of course MU has been at the SF for eons.  I guess I didn't go for a long period, then started going again 5 years ago.)

.. Ecompt .. about Irish Fest.  Not that I know of.  I go to Irish Fest every year, and MU has never had a booth to my knowledge.

I read you were going to IFest .. I think I'll be there Saturday night, you?

muwarrior87

ya think they fixed the schedule on the back of the 30th anniversary shirts?

Hilltopper, I'm going to the Brewers game that night but will be back at Irish Fest after that.

and to they have anything bigger than a medium.  Hell, at State fair, they better not have anything smaller than a XXXL.

Come now Ziggy, you don't think there are people that go to the fair and don't eat those delicious 550 calorie cream puffs by the case?!? I think they could drop at least one X off the smallest shirt size, mayyybe 2 but that might be pushing it.
