To state the obvious, turnovers kill momentum, runs, destroy confidence, allow the opposing team more possessions and often easy points. In short, turnovers are a cancer to any team.

The problem with Junior Cadougan is he cannot go to his left. Most of his turnovers result when he is going left. The opposition knows this and over-plays him accordingly. He knows this and tries to go left, but has no real "handle" when he goes left.

Trent Lockett suffers from a lack of "happy feet", as in clumsy footwork. Often when he turns the ball over it seems his feet have gotten tangled-up. As Coach Williams stated, to be effective Lockett has to be a two foot player.

Hard to comment on J. Wilson ... he might be just too well adjusted and smart for his own good.

The rest of the team is "normal" when it comes to turnovers. So with three consistent turnover prone players, what does Coach Williams do?  

How he used his players last night seems to be an indication of how Coach Williams is "trending."

Your point about forcing turnovers is a great one.  I had expected to be a great 'ball hawking' team with more easy points coming off our pressure D.  We worked on that some yesterday, but with only nominal success as frequent breakdowns lead to easy NCC points.  Perhaps Mayo's minutes will help.  No doubt our best 3 at 1-3 would be D Wilson, Mayo and Blue.

To be fair, Jamil's two (very questionable) offensive fouls are counted as turnovers as well.

Also, D. Wilson's lack of turnovers is because he doesn't make much effort to initiate an offense.  Too many dribbles thinking and holds too many passes back for fear of a turnover.

Junior is the opposite if he thinks he sees a sliver of daylight he goes for the jugular.  This leads to some forced passes and TO's.

The problem with Junior is the absolutely ridiculous turnovers, like if someone snuck in and greased the ball up with butter.

I guess it is a good thing that Jr wants to be a superhero, because someone needs to do some scoring.  Jr has been in double figures 4 our of the last 5 games with games of 16, 17, 18.  He is also shooting over 80% from the stripe.  It is much easier to be Derrick Wilson because he isn't as critical to the offense.  He is just in there to run the show and not mess things up.  Jr needs to make things happen and be a much bigger part of the offense.

Exactly. Comparing turnovers between is not fair as so much is put on Cadougan's shoulders vs. Wilson.

Hey, I'm not the one who only played Junior 24 minutes. Buzz pulled him a couple of times after bad turnovers. And I would have, too.

I love that Junior has made some nice late-game plays for us. It's his job. His main job for the other 30 or 35 minutes is to take care of the ball and distribute it to open teammates.

I like Junior, I've defended him against his detractors and I root for him. Having said all that: He needs to take better care of the basketball. We cannot afford him turning it over 4, 5, 6 times in a game. Period.

Pretty much agree.   I could also not commit a t.o. all season by just sitting outside the big half circle.

Junior is better than this imo, hopefully he tightens up his handle soon and makes the smart pass more often than the flashy.
