Jamil.

Juan may have been the best compared to expectation, but Jamil got us the lead in the early going and was more valuable.  Tough to pick the SOG when we would have won easily whether or not any particular player even played.

Jamil should never be player of the game in which he gets only 2 rebounds.

I say Davante because he established himself down low and caused Colgate to double and triple team him. He dominated under the boards.

4 rebounds off his own miss and 2 defensive rebounds does not equal domination.

I was torn between Juan and Jamil, and Jimmy Mac picking Juan is my tiebreaker.  9 points and 9 rebs in 21 minutes is impressive no matter who it's against.

It was very encouraging to see Jamil confidently hit the top of the key 3ptr a couple times.  We saw Jae do that all last year and it's important that we have a "4" that can hit that shot consistently.

Gardner had a Jermichael Finley type game. Had a lot of focus from the d which overall helped the offense but he wasn't the most efficient with his opportunities. He seemed to rush some shots and never let the play develop to set up teammates. Has a ton of talent and I hope he gets it all together by BE to be a force.

Juan played great but my money would be on either big fella, Chris or devante.

I go with Juan.  Devante did what Devante does, and we need it game in and game out from him, but I agree with the idea that he gets his own rebound off his miss, which somewhat adds to his rebound total.  And speaking of rebounding, it was good to see Chris play well in his first game back but since I didn't see the first half I'm trying to figure out how someone who is 6'11" got 0 boards in the game.  Therefore, I can't vote for Chris.

Anyone who saw the entire game have any insight about Chris's rebounding numbers?

Jamil.

Juan a close second.

Davante a distant third.

I would vote Juan, but as everyone on here has already stated, it should be between Juan and the Jamillionaire.

My vote goes to section 400.  I believe I actually saw two people standing up at the start of the game for a change.  Must have finished their funeral preplanning early.

If that doesn't qualify then I'll go with Jamil for reasons previously mentioned plus pulling Davante away from ref once before he got T'd up for his barking.

Juan had 9 rebounds because he went after them. The rest of the team got rebounds when the ball hit them in the hands Thomas also went after rebounds.

Lockett rebounded well too.

I'm sure you "kids" were fine.  Just working off some "issues" from my past two year stay in that section before I was able to escape.

And the winner is....Jaun.

The only MU player that didn't get blanked on at least one stat.  More rebounds than Davante and Jamil combined.  The only player other than Otule to register a block.  All done in 21 min.

I don't know about Chris's rebounding numbers, but he is starting to remind me of Jim Chones! He really looks confident out there.

So it still not a democracy, right?   ;)

Anyway, congratulations Juan!  A lot of posters said you'd never amount to "stud-worthyness".

All due respect, but perhaps your memory is fading.  Other than being about the same height, there is no resemblance between the two.  Hope we have a healthy Chris all year, but he's not looking like Chones.
