Hey, how's the fall Muskie fishin' been?

Heard today that Tonka is hot in the shallows.

Oops, wrong thread.   ;)

Did Herb hook'em up with the Energee chicks?

Jamil is a great ambassador for MU. Love the fact that hes been guiding Embiid all weekend.

Shame he left at halftime...hell of a game

You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

For us non-Milwaukeeans, did M a M play?  Does he start for Milwaukee?  If not, is he in the rotation?

They came back and watched the end of the game it was a great game with a good crowd so hopefully he liked it

Saw buzz, buzzing around with Autry.  What is the legality of this?  Are the tickets from MU or from his mentor?  Interested to know.

Went up to both Embiid and Jamil during halftime to give my best.  Seemed like a nice enough guy and said he was lovin' the trip up to that point.  HAD to have loved that ending to see how nuts the Bradley Center can be.

Are you going to change your name to twoposteagle now?

He had to love seeing an NBA game, to bad is mentor is hurt.  Kansas and Florida have none of that.  Milwaukee is a big league city compared to those 2 college towns.  Emblid
is the missing piece to an amazing recruiting year.  Unfortunately, if he commits a few players are getting the ax, or going pro.  I have no problem if Blue or Mayo leave.  Does John
Dawson show up, maybe, maybe not.  That we will see in a few days if he signs a letter of intent.  The other interesting point, do all these kids have the grades or scores to get
into MU, McKay I am sure needs to graduate with a JC degree.  I can see why Buzz over recruited these players, see who shows up next July 1st on campus.  A lot can happen
between now and then.  But bigtime talent is coming!  Looney and Stone to follow.

Was considering it MUskie but it gives me a bit of an edge.  Couldn't post until JJJ committed, as I jumped the gun on his committment (guess you can't always believe everything coming outta the horse's mouth).  I can't see why Embiid wouldn't wanna end up here and the campus is buzzing (no pun intended) at the fact that we seem to be gaining momentum with him.

NersEllenson

It would be absolutely HUGE (pun intended) if Embiid comes to MU - easily a Top 5 recruiting class nationally, and with all of the talent in the program (but shortest in talent at his 5 position), MU could very well be poised and positioned for several VERY deep tourney runs in the next 2-5 years.  I'm talking Elite 8, Final Four, National Championship Game deep.

Come on Jo Jo!  Sign with MU.  We LOVE our basketball...and as a city Milwaukee is a great place to go to school, live and to even be able to play pick up ball games against pros in the summer.

Why is John Dawson's reward for committing to Marquette over several other quality basketball programs have to be repeated questioning over whether we want him?  If recruits put any stock into what some fans on this board had to say, Buzz wouldn't be able to recruit anyone to MU.

I do not want to think this will happen, but how many guards do you need.  Wilson, Johnson, Dawson and Burton.  Besides having many others how do you see it shaking
out?  Does Burton have the grades to get into MU?  MPS student??  I do hope they all show up.  But something has to give if Emblid shows up.  Is Jamil Wilson going pro?
Vander? Mayo?  I truly see them not going pros.

Really??? Burton is an MPS student--> so he wont have good grades? Wow. Just. Wow. Jamil, Vander and Mayo all have the strong potential to go pro, maybe not after this year, but eventually...

Well said...absolutely no need to speculate in such a way.

I'm sure Buzz has a very good handle on what will transpire...he and Autry flew out to New Mexico 3 times to sign Dawson.  Just because Dawson is the lowest rated of the recruits, by no means..means he will be the 'worst' player of the bunch.  I like a lot of what I've seen from Dawsons game.  Great tempo and rhythm with which he plays.  NO need to speculate on Burton potentially not being eligible simply due to being an MPS student - he's a good and bright kid.

Pretty sure Jake Thomas won't be on scholarship next year, Otule is a question mark, people seem to think Vander is dying to get paid to play (anywhere), Mayo has a rich brother who conceivably might be able to pay for a year of Todd's college...Mayo could opt to test NBA waters, or Europe, etc.  Lots of ways it all works out...let's not negative speculate on kid like Dawson....Buzz and staff want him in the fold...and he will be in the fold come next fall.
