One day at a time-----not enough now!
« on: July 08, 2007, 08:47:35 AM »
I've noticed of late that when reporting the death totals in Iraq the Associated Press and other very liberal news organizations are headling big nimbers like "150 Dead" giving the impression this is a one days total when it fact it's a 2 or 3 day total which they explain in the body of text (check out the link).

In the event we are forced out of Iraq prematurely by the public opinion that they forged, I wonder if these news organizations will be near as enthralled with reporting the horrendous number of deaths that would ensue in the bloody holocost that will undoubtedly follow should we have to leave-----I doubt it!

My prediction is we pull out next year and have to go back in 2 year after.

It's like Korea when Truman pulled out troops and the Chinese just basically moved right in forcing us to go back in (and lose 30,000 guys).   Or Vietnam when we pulled out and a million people lost their lives (aka Killing Fields).

I think the politicians here are absolutely in their right to demand that the Iraqis get their crap together, but if we pull out it will make what's been going on in the last 4 years an absolute country club affair.  I wouldn't want to be a Sunni.
