I like being the last visit.  With Ill first its unlikely he commits while there and cancels all other visits.  We should have the opportunity to close the deal at MM.

At this point, with the way this recruitment has gone, I can see him giving a verbal before finishing the visits.

Just a hunch, based on the wider net of SG prospects MU seems to be casting.

He scheduled MU as the last visit and for midnight madness, he may say that all five schools are equal, but.....
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

Quote from: muguru
No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Be nice if MM didn't suck ass, per usual, compared to other programs. Just sayin'.

Good point.  Having DWade and other NBA players in attendance was so tacky last year.

Well obviously Buzz disagrees with your assessment.

From what I've heard, MM drags. Too much time for the women's team and those other skits and contests. Fans are starting to leave when the men finally start their scrimmage. Not the way to impress a recruit. Have they thought streamlining the event by moving the women's team scrimmage to the next day?

See I don't think Nunn will verbal elsewhere.  He knows UI and MU pretty well by this point, and I have read that he regretted his early verbal to A&M, and wants to be well-informed before making his next decision.

The real question is what if another prospect wants to commit?  Does MU cancel the visit?

We have a strong track record of getting commits following attendance at Madness.  If he makes it there, we have to feel ok about our chances.  Conventional thought says last is best, but I don't know if I want to be last when there are five schools involved, kind of got to hope he's not too impressed by what he sees earlier and commits or that he's not too sick of taking visits by then and wants it to be over with before the visit even begins.

I just hope its raining and a terrible day when he visits UCLA. After hearing his quote about LA it seems that he wouldn't mind living out in lala land. For OSU I'm going to assume they bring him in during a football game so I hope they lose and the campus is dead after. The other schools don't worry me.

Aren't there speculations that we lost out on Iman Shumpert because of a Midnight Madness debacle?

Different coach, different times though.

When OSU's football team loses with recruits in town, the boosters just reach for the bigger duffle bag of cash and prizes to help make the case for becoming a Buckeye.

I think it would be amusing if MU got another guard instead of Nunn, since it seems we're the "safe school"

I think it would be more amusing if Nunn dropped 40 at MSG in the BE Championship or the tourney. Simeon pipeline.

No idea. But I continue to hear reports of bored, restless recruits.

Showing up at a kid's house in a limo without warning at midnight is a far different kind of midnight madness.  Less of a loss due to boredom, more due to being creeped out.

This guy wishes he had a chance to attend any Midnight Madness.

Tony Farmer, a four star PF 2013 recruit from Cleveland, who just got sentenced to like three years prison time.

Just saw on CNN.  Realized his whole world just went down the drain.

Read the comments on Yahoo, it's ridiculous how often the race card is pulled nowadays.

I can't say I know what it's like to be in those shoes, nor do I know the specifics of the case, but I'm sure you can find a white person that got away with more and served less...I'm also sure OJ got away with more and served less.  That said, the "race card" exists for a reason, and I believe racism exists much more than I believe a honest, fair, and just court system exists...and I think most Dems and Reps would agree with that.

Pretty sad to watch his world go down the drain...hope he can figure things out after he pays his debt...
