Tony Blair is a man of principle and said last month he doesn't regret a damn thing.

Remind us again Mviale how before the "occupation of Iraq" how docile these people were and how many non-terrorist attacks were committed.

Let's start with 9/11/01...2 years before the "occupation of Iraq"....do you remember what happened that day?

Shall we list all of the terrorist activities against the US and it's allies in the last 30 years PRIOR to the "occupation of Iraq"?

Good Lord.

Mivale-----Iraq doesn't prevent sleeper cells in Britain or the USA for that matter from car bombs and individual suicide attacks------that's something we're going to have to live with for years------but what Iraq and Afghanistan along with GWB's Homeland Security does prevent is the big WMD attack or 9/11 type attack which takes bigtime planning, focus, and financing.

I don't see any 9/11 type attack or WMD attack on your list since 2001-----the closest in either the USA or Britain is the subway bombing in London----this was not an attack from abroad as was 9/11, but as I mention above from sleeper cells of radical islam in Britain (British citizens).

Engaging Al Quida abroad not only keeps their focus abraod but also makes it more difficult for them to acquire WMD. Face it ----they have their handsful in Iraq and Afghanistan!

I hope you are joking.  Here's a list of terrorist events PRIOR to us going into IRAQ and the "occupation" as you like to call it.  Funny, I guess we're "occupying" Germany, Japan, Korea, etc because we still have bases there.  We are in Iraq at the request of a FREELY elected Iraqi government.  If they want us out, they will vote us out via the decisions of their parliament.

Terrorist attacks occurred before we went into Iraq and they would have continued if we hadn't.  The question becomes, do you just sit back and take like we have for years or trying something else.  Well guess what, we (and Blair, and Howard and others) decided to try something else.

By the way, since you used a hornets nest analogy, I don't know about you but when I see a hornets nest in my yard I don't let it just sit there...I TAKE IT OUT!

I can't even list them all because there is a 20,000 character limit on this message board...so here's the link.
