SI's Luke Winn writes about a 6-9 prospect, a four-star kid, out of Houston who spent last year in Spain. Says Marquette is among those recruiting him heavily. The kid sounds like a solid player. Anyone know anything about him? Story says he is a 2014 recruit but might reclassify to 2013.

found a mention saying he had "game-changing length, athleticism and shot blocking," going into his sophomore year two years ago, so he might be a very long 6-foot-9.

However, at that stage he appeared to have a long way to go.  Rivals has not given him any STARS yet, so hadn't heard he was a 4-star.
The www.valueaddsports.com analysis of basketball, football and baseball players are intended to neither be too hot or too cold - hundreds immerse themselves in studies of stats not of interest to broader fan bases (too hot), while others still insist on pure observation (too cold).

He doesn't have any stars on Rivals, because they don't evaluate foreign players.  He did well at the Nike top 100 camp (just being invited tells you his ranking) and he was top 25 by ESPN before heading overseas for a year.

We'd be lucky to get a kid like him.

Believe he is related to former Texas Western player David Big-Daddy Lattin

That is what it says in the link.
