Does this strike anyone as being crazy?

Crowder is in the process of losing 20 pounds and transforming his game into a 2-guard at the next level. #mubb

Don't think it will end up working for him given his limited handle, but I'm guessing this is a response to NBA GMs comments. Hope things work out for him but I think he'll just have to accept playing overseas.

I'm quite confident he will be drafted and will be playing in the NBA, something I was not at all confident about 2 months ago even when I first said he was playing at an All-American college level.  This is one I would actually put my house on if I were a betting man.  (actually the other side would be a sucker since I'm upside down on my house and the bank wouldn't give it to them anyway, but it's worth a try).
The www.valueaddsports.com analysis of basketball, football and baseball players are intended to neither be too hot or too cold - hundreds immerse themselves in studies of stats not of interest to broader fan bases (too hot), while others still insist on pure observation (too cold).

WOW.  That is a surprise.  I think it's a good move to fit better at SF.  He clearly doesn't have the size to play PF at that level and his athleticism was well below average for a SF.  This way he should have decent size at SF and much better athleticism.  There have been many guys that have dropped 20 lbs fast and really improved their athleticism tremendously. I doubt he plays SG though.

I certainly can't see Jae as a NBA 2. I don't think he's a next-level starter, his best shot is as a bench guy at a couple positions. If GMs seem to think he's better as a 2/3 than a 3/4, I guess this is the way to go, but still seems like a stretch. Far less confident of him being drafted after seeing this, but best of luck to him.

He be better off putting on 20lbs of muscle and go to NFL.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think Jae has ever taken a man off the dribble (starting outside the 3pt line) for a bucket during his time at MU. As Vander can attest to, that is a more difficult skill than it seems at even the college level.

He must be coming in at 6'5" and be faced with the decision to become Barkley big or this option.

Agreed.  His points either came off of a catch and shoot or off of some kind of move down low.   I cannot recall him starting a dribble at the 3 pt line and getting to the basket.    JFB could slash.   Jae has more range but JFB is quicker.

Wish him luck with this decision and hope he great advisors on this topic. I don't see it but hope it works out for him.
