Obviously there has to be some practical limit on the number of coaches on a staff, but are there NCAA limits? I think its fairly certain that Benford will get a chance somewhere in the near future. If you have the chance to grab a  guy like Howard (for a substantial price) and "redshirt" him for a year, should we do it?

Yes, that's why you don't see ten assistant coaches at Kentucky.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

I get a kick out of Groce thinking that hiring his own former Ohio assistants qualifies as a "clean slate." Good luck, man.

Jerrance Howard is a great recruiter, in and out of Chicago, and has all the makings of a fine coach one day. If Buzz is still happy with his assistants and if none of them leave to coach elsewhere, he has no opening for Howard. But if there is an opening, Howard would be a great hire. If not MU, he will get a job at another big-time school.
