I won't ask for a name as that is too upsetting.  So a generic question, do you expect someone to transfer at the end of the semester?

I said no

Maybe I'm just naive, but I have a feeling that no one transfers this year.

chapman

I always expect at least one transfer.  Will help our 2013 situation so depending who it might not be the worst thing.  If a 2012 scholarship does open up I wonder if Buzz would take on a one year grad school transfer such as Renaldo Woolridge from Tennessee to have an extra body that will see the court but also keep 2013 in line to bring in both of the verbals and hopefully Nunn.

bilsu

As long as Buzz stays, I expect no transfers. Buzz leaves and I expect 5 transfers. That would include incoming signed recruits opting to go elsewhere.

I voted no.

Lennys Tap

I have no idea. If it helps our team get better and gives a guy mostly glued to the bench a chance to go someplace where he can play more, I certainly hope so.

BCHoopster

I do not think there will be a transfer, but listening to Buzz's show, I got the feeling Arron Durley will not be at MU next year.  The Otules 6th year, the reason.

Goose

Agreed with Lenny. If we can improve the team then I would welcome a transfer. In cases like that it usually woks out best for the kid leaving anyways. Have trust that Buzz will not churn kids and has their best interest in mind.

kmwtrucks

What did Buzz say about Otule? Was this on the Homer Wrapup show.

That was the feeling I got too.  Buzz said that Durley has a lot of work to do and that with CO's extra year, the situation has changed, and they have to figure out what to do that will be best for Durley.  That sounds like maybe some JUCO might be in Durley's future.

Either one transfers or one does not enroll.

Really....  Or it might mean redshirt.

Well, Junior is a Senior now and will have the court for the majority of the game. In 2013 we have Duane Wilson coming in, and I can guarentee that Duane Wilson would see way more of the court than Derrick... Derrick will be nothing more than a tight defender that has no offense whatsoever and will be sitting the bench for most the game. (I do love watching the kid get up tight on people though, fun to watch defensively).

So in other words, you don't know anything.

While it is certainly possible that Duane Wilson may start as a freshman, I think Derrick Wilson in 2013-14 is going to look a lot different than 2011-12 Derrick Wilson.

It is really odd.  Everyone gets all excited about Juan Anderson in his limited minutes this year, but Derrick played almost twice as much and had a much larger role.  Why can't we presume that he might grow as well?

Paint Touches is running player recaps next week, and Aki Collins' quotes on Derrick Wilson were very telling.

Basically, Collins said Wilson got so comfortable in his role as a distributor and a freshman not supposed to mess things up on offense, that he never got to spread his wings offensively.

To think he is transferring is ridiculous.

Not saying it will translate, but didn't Derrick score the ball at a pretty decent clip in high school?

19.0 points as a sophomore, 23.0 as a junior, 17.0 as a senior.

JamilJaeJamailJrJuan

My guess is no. I obviously would not be shocked by one, but I just don't see it. Just let it play out and don't play the guessing game.

Redshirt was my first thought, but that takes up a scholly.  Buzz didn't give any details as to what he was considering for Durley.

KenoshaWarrior

Yes.  I bet Juan Anderson transfers to Sacramento State or something.
