Flexible pricing is what kept me away. Since no menu hard to tell costs but did not feel screwed on my last visit.

What did a burger run you?

I've never been, do you literally have no idea until you get the bill?

The food is damn good, but I can remember having to negotiate the bill after having sticker shock.....its been a long time since I was there last.  Goose, how was your bill?

Bill was not terrible. My wife had awesome tuna steak and I had great burger. That along with couple of drinks each and the stiff with tip was about $70.00. In years past I would have paid more there if memory serves me. Have to admit been thinking about going back for last two weeks but travel has kept me away.

Gus' Gyros in Racine has a BFB
Standard burger fair topped with Gyro meat.
Best Gyro in town without question so their burger makes the list.

Going to be in Milwaukee Wed and Thurs night. Gotta take some coworkers out wed night.  Thurs night is with my canada fishing cohorts.  Major strategy session.

Haven't been to Milw for 15+ years on biz.  Thinking about 4th base one night.  Any suggestion?  And yes, RC for lunch both days.  ;D

There's a new place out in Brookfield on Capitol Dr. and Brookfield Rd. called Jake's Burgers.  The Wisconsin Burger there is delicious.  Only one I've tried, I'm sure their others are very good too.

Screw all of you arseholes:  Ziggy's.  8-)

I bought mustard and ketchup for my O'Donnell dorm room since Ziggy charged extra for condiments on his 99 burgers.  That guy was one of a kind.

Marquette Gyros's burger was probably the best on campus from 1996-2001.

Louie D's on Wells wasn't too shabby either.

Been there a few times now, and have decided I won't be going back. Not bad, but frankly, not good.

Get the half pound Elk Burger with Goat cheese and smothered in buffalo and elk chili. Indescribable

The Bear Trap Inn in North Lake, WI. 35 min drive from mke and the place is a kind of a dive, but the burger is the best. Staff/owners are very friendly too.

In Chicago, I love Rock's in Lincoln Park. Get the Rocks burger if you're there.

For those of you in the Chi Burbs, my fav burger comes from Charlie Beinlich's in Northbrook.

During my time on campus, I was at Louie D's all the time. For a hungry college kid it tasted good.

Just got back from lunch at Burger Jones in Burnsville.  Had the November burger of the month.  Regular burger with peperjack cheese, bacon infused mayo, camelized onions, and onion straws, all on a toasted, buttered english muffin bun.

Wow.

When I was on campus I loved going out because I would always end my night with the grilled chicken sandwich from Louie D's, with cheese and bacon.  That sandwich probably kept me from hooking up more often.  At least that's what I blame it on.

Heading to the Red Cow on Selby tonight for a burger.  Anyone tried it yet?

Hoping it's not too packed with tc marathon traffic.

Red Cow is great.  I also recommend Blue Door near Selby and Fairview in St Paul, get the Jiffy Burger.  Great beers on tap too.

Blue Door is great.

Ended up instead at Smalleys tonight.  Killer jerked pork tacos.  Stopped on the way home at Lake Elmo Inn for a beverage and some bs with John, the bartender.  Mrs. C had the sin of the inn...

I have recently concluded that smashburger is the best chain. I just wish they could upgrade their buns a bit.

hmm, the 'big and gooey' at Woodys on St. Pete Beach- especially at midnight when they drop the price to $5.  Locally, the 'Hogg burger' at Hogg Alley in Delafield.
