That sparky dude is half nuts, I don't know how anyone can't see through the scthick they do every show. Sparky says something totally outrageous and contrary to the other hosts and then they sit there and argue about it all show with callers.

Not to even mention that weasel Wickett. How the hell this guy is still on the radio is way beyond me. He is almost gleeful everytime something negative happens to Mu. Plus he is just a piss poor radio host from his nerdy voice to his lack of knowledge on the topics he covers

I Unfortunately ride 40 mins to work every morning with a Madison Grad who listens to Chuck and Wickett Every morning so I cant not listen.
The Bias and lack of knowledge in sports in general is unbearable.
They never give Marquette any time on the radio and when they do they just read the ESPN headline.

I do have to say that I was shocked a couple weeks ago (pre BEPOY)when Chuck and wicket choose Crowder and DJO over Taylor as the best player in WI!

Has Marquette really had a radio station in the area that really supported it in the sports talk market?  Homer will talk about MU occasionally, but his sidekick Thunder is not a Marquette fan and that's the flagship station for MU basketball.  I can't listen to the other Milwaukee stations and haven't tuned into WTMJ for awhile either and I wouldn't expect them to tout MU since they are the Badgers flagship, although I never sensed that WTMJ bashed MU either.

Madison has a morning and afternoon shows on 1070 AM that cover Wisconsin thoroughly, plus Homer also broadcasts through the ESPN station, so he covers them as well.

All I hope is that this kind of news will be a thing of the past and Buzz can concentrate on coaching basketball.  Doesn't MU have a basketball game tomorrow?

Although Thunder admits he is a Badger grad, he is the closest thing to a Badger grad being open-minded that I have heard on Milwaukee sports radio (aside from Homer).  He compliments MU when warranted.

I have lost track of the number of times I have ripped 1250 on here.  Haven't tuned to that station in the more than 5 yrs.

I know Ellerson from his big brothers/big sisters days, another job he received from being an ex badger/packer. Lets just say he puts the same Effort into radio as he did to helping inner city youth.  

I have tune in radio and am a huge brewer fan. I can't listen to chick and wicket even when they support your team. Not sure which is which, but the sidekick is the worst radio host I've ever heard; host does a decent job IMO.

As bad as 1250 is, I would rather listen to that than chicago sports radio. I rarely listen to 1250 anymore for the reasons listed above. Every once in a while I tune in and it always reinforces why I do not listen.

My guess is that the "report" about grainy video is coming from a message board, and therefore he can't talk more about it because message boards are a terrible source and full of wild ass speculation.

Doesn't really stop them from alluding to it, and they need content everyday, so if they can get some legs out of this, they will do it.

1250 has a general formula:

Topic x Wisco sports angle / controversial stance x debate + "let's take some calls"

They can morph any topic into something "local" and then take calls, and somehow that is entertaining.

I think Boers and Bernstein can get pretty bitchy and nasty when they are in a bad mood, but in general, at least they provide some content and a little reporting.

Recycling the same crap that Michaels pulled yesterday afternoon. Wickett is awful, and his stuttering sidekick is no better.

The only good thing about 1250 is their Brewers postgame show. Amazing that a blind dude is their best, and most knowledgeable on-air talent.

This morning Chuck and Especially Wickett kept going on and on about the 720 incident and brought up how this incident has tarnished the team.
It was a complete hour of bashing MU by blaming everyone from the coach who "will do and get anyone to win" and the all the JUCO players who have bad character and rep MU poorly.
I had to hold myself back from calling in multiple times with all the UW fans jumping right on the bashing bandwagon.

Wickett even went to the point of suggesting that this incident will sway many bandwagon fans to root against MU since this is so terrible!

It would appear so.  I really have no clue what stations are any good anymore since I became a member of Team Sirius in 2007.  I listen to ESPN Milwaukee for the pre/post game stuff and that's about it for local stations.  So.Much.Better.
