Title basically says it all - who do you think got robbed in their seed?

I'll throw out Creighton - an 8 seed?  28-5 - MVC Champs, Doug McDermott - if I'm UNC, not happy that this would be my 2nd round opponent.

Creighton got massively screwed. They went 1-1 vs Wichita State but won the conference tourney and got 3 seeds worse???????

Memphis, no doubt. Creighton was only off by 1 line in my estimation, but the Tigers should have been a 5. They had the RPI, SOS, won their regular season and conference tournament, what else were they supposed to do?

I could see them in the Sweet 16 or further.

  • I prefer a team that's eligible, not paid for

You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

Buy their way into the Big East sooner!

Was surprised ND got a 7 instead of a 6 or 5, but i guess that's not too far down.

The Committee must have felt the same about ND as I.  Don't want to reopen that hoopin' debate, but they had a very favorable BE schedule.

Yeah, they had a favorable schedule (both us and Syracuse at home), but finished tied for 3rd in Big East and had some good wins. Not trying to stir up the ND debate, just commenting on a team that got a lower seed than I expected.

Not the seed, but UK got hosed in their draw. A potential matchup with UCONN in the third round for the number one overall?!?  UCONN has the talent; it would really suck for UK if they decided to finally put it together.
Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

Reminds me of the year we played Michigan State in the first round when general consenus for both of us was 5 or 6 pre-bracket announcement.

Wasn't that because of Jerel's hand injury?  We really got screwed then.  Reminds me of when Onauku went down for Cuse and he was "supposed" to come back every game of the tournament until they got bounced by Butler.  Now, Henson will be back for NC next week, no question.  We'll see if he plays.  Next time, MU shouldn't be so honest with the NCAA.

WVU should have been at least a 2 or 3 seed...in the NIT. Hey-o!

Using the rank the committee gave and looking at the RPI, BPI and KenPom (an 'average' of the three), I come up with the following (these apply to RANK only - I've yet to add my columns for seeds):

Memphis - 20 spots worse than computer averages
Belmont - 17 spots
Saint Lous - 16 spots
Cal - 15 spots
Long Beach - 13 spots

MU comes in at +5.  Notre Dame at +20!

EDIT:

Memphis - Got 8 seed, computers say 3
Belmont - 14, 10
Saint Lous - 9, 5
Cal - 12, 8
Long Beach - 12, 10

MU: Got 3, computers say 4
Iona/BYU: 14, 12
Notre Dame: 7, 12

This is my own little spreadsheet I did this AM instead of doing my actual job, so accuracy/validity is . . . .who knows.
