According to the play by play at ESPN, this is not true.  Last field goal was with 8:35 remaining.  Last free throw was with 6:17 remaining.

He had a double-double.  Nice game.  I don't think he was robbed, but he is a hell of a player.  Happy to see WVU lose, but glad to see Jones play well.

And I hope that Jae goes out tomorrow and gets a triple double.

Thanks for the clarification.  He definitely had a nice game and I agree that he is a hell of a player.  He also seems to be very classy and a good teammate.  I have no problem with Kevin, and I can understand why WV fans would be disappointed in him not getting POY.  I think it is ridiculous that they think there is a conspiracy, however, and that they think nobody else should have even been in the running for POY.

Agreed on Jae.  Tomorrow and the 8 games after that  ;)

Screw that, I want WVU to go to the FF from a different region than Marquette.  THEN, let the door hit them and the Big East will collect their 2012 tournament shares for the next six years.

It's the gift from WVU (and Syracuse, go to hell, Pitt) that keeps on giving.... to the Big East.... for six years.  We should send them thank you cards every year, just to remind them.

Never looked at it that way but you make a good point.  If they lose, we get to laugh at them.  If they win, we get their money.  Not bad!

Jones had a great game.  Lousy overtime, but don't blame the loss on him.

R U kidding me.  You must not have actually watched it.  He absolutely lost the game for them in OT.   It illustrated the difference between the Big East POY and himself...

How did he lose it for them?  I watched the game and I wouldn't pin the loss on Jones.  I would blame Truck Bryant and the other guards.

Jones took the shots down the stretch and missed them all.  WV didn't score.  They lost...

Jones took some tough, contested shots because his guards could not get him the ball where he needed it.  Jones had to go out to the perimeter just to get the ball.  It's not like he made boneheaded mistakes.  Dude just missed some shots...it happens.  And it's not like anyone else scored either for WVU.  While Jones disappeared down the stretch, I most certainly would not blame him for the loss.

Added: They would have won the game in regulation if their guards did not get stripped on back to back possessions leading to layups for Napier.  It's just seems spiteful to try and pin the loss on Jones.

What a great note for WVU to go out on over their last few weeks of Big East basketball

Huggy's got a bear of a program to rebuild if what he says is true.

In WVU's loss, the two departing seniors constituted 67% of the scoring, 100% of the 3pts made (on 3 of 16 combined shooting)... super ouch.

I don't hold any ill will against Jones.  I am simply stating the their"POY"guy had multiple opportunities in OT to win the game for them but didn't...
