Now I am one who gets angry when people nit pick about something after a win just to complain about something....However

Anyone else have an issue with the 2nd to last possession where we were under a minute, moving the ball well, up 3, with about 15-20 seconds on the shot clock and DJO drives to the hoop with a lot of pressure?

All I could think about was last years Louisville game where someone drove the do the rim (can't remember who) when they didn't really need to.

Luckily it didn't come back to bite us! Good Win!

Yes, I completely agree. As soon as he started driving, I started saying "No, no, no!". If we run out the clock, they would have less than 5 seconds. Of course, they would have fouled, but I'll take our chances with DJO, Jae, or Van at the line a few seconds later than making a pressured drive with them in great rebounding position. Even if he makes it, it's a 3-point game with plenty of time.

DJO looked like he was pressing a little bit the whole second half.   That drive was a poor decision.

And Buzz addressed it in the post game comments.  Nobody needed to be the hero.  Just have good possessions.  Glad we overcame that mistake.  Teaching opportunity in the film room.

Buycks redux.

I was thinking Jerel myself, but yes, we've certainly seen this before.  At least we still won this time.

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.

How about the last WVU possession.  Look at the replay.  Right before Bryant takes the last shot, DJO is several steps behind him near his man out at the 3 pt line.  His man moves into the lane, and DJO just stands there and watches until the end of the game.  If that shot had hit the rim and bounced off the front side, DJO's man would have had an easy rebound and put back.  His boneheaded plays and defensive intensity sometimes is just mind boggling.

That play by DJO reminded me of Buyckes play against Louisville last year. We did everything to lose that game from suspending players to missing free throws and West Virginia still could not take the gift we were trying to give them. It just shows how bad West Virginia is.

Indeed, as DJO started that drive, I (and probably the entire MU bench) started screaming NONONONONONOOOOO!
