I know there was some talk last week that he may have been able to go against the Jailcats.  Is he expected back this saturday in hartford?

bilsu

He is walking without crutches. Outside of that I know nothing.

Don't buy that. It would have happened by now.

I highly doubt surgery at this point considering the injury is not season-ending. Any knee surgery on a 290-pound dude is probably going to take longer to heal than 4 weeks.

He be back for the Huskies, on one leg! I be chillin, doe

THEultimateWARRIOR

He said on his twitter that he was close to coming back

avid1010

on a side note, did anyone notice (what looked to me like) buzz chewing him out in the middle of the game on the bench?  no one on tv said anything, but they kept the camera on buzz and he was pretty hot.  wondering if he said something to another player or ref.  just don't usually see buzz yell at anyone on his team/staff during a game.

I remember Crean would tear into Wade on the bench when he was ineligible.

Buzz was hot at a number of folks down the bench-
started, it seemed, when a student asst. (?) came up to Buzz after Jae went into the tunnel.
then Buzz was giving it just about everyone on the end third of the bench.

couldn't hear what he was jawing about, but he was not jovial about it one bit.

Canadian Dimes

Buzz was not seeming to have a good day on Saturday....seemed even more on edge and maybe even a little angry.

my guess is the 16-4 deficit 2 minutes into the game had a lot to do with it.

I noticed that too but to me it seemed like he might have been joking with him in his weird way. Most of the players were smiling including davante and it looked like buzz was trying to hide a smile as well

I mentioned both of these after the game.

The incident with Gardner was with about 3:00  to go in the game.  Jamil Wilson fouled someone on a made basket.  Sloppy play for that point in the game.  As he was coming to the sideline, Gardner either said or did something and Wilson laughed while Buzz was talking to him.  Buzz then shouted - "there's nothing funny about that." Or something to that effect.  When he realized Gardner instigated it, he went down the bench and chewed on him.

The student manager Buzz was chewing out was actually the trainer, Ernest Eugene.  When Crowder was fouled hard, he came out of the game after the FT and was complaining about the back of his neck.  I think he was bleeding and blood may have gotten on his uniform.  During a TO, the doctor and some managers ran out the tunnel with Crowder.  After the TO, Buzz asked Ernest where Jae was.  When told, he chewed on him for not treating Jae in the bench area.  Went back after Ernest a few more times.  After Jae returned, someone mentioned to the doc what happenned.  He told Ernest to tell Buzz that he (the doc) was the one who decided to take Jae to the locker room.  Erneset gave a look to doc like he was nuts to think Ernest was going to say anything to Buzz at that point in time.

Erik smells surgery
Garbage post. Back it up rather than saying it just to get a rise out of people.

He blamed Wade for every loss the year he was ineligible.

I personally try to remind myself that Dvante's tweets should be taken with a grain of salt but he tweeted this earlier this afternoon: "Just realize my whole leg is gone haha"

And took every bit of praise for every win both when he was eligible and ineligible.  "Look at me, Indiana, I coached this kid up!"  "I'm going to Indiana!"  "I might be able to get 3 B1G road wins in my 1st 4 years at It's Indiana, It's Indiana!"  "It's Indiana, It's Indiana!"

All direct quotes from the Tan Man himself.

DG has not been cleared to fully practice yet..but as indicated before there is no thought of any surgery required. It was Dx as a grade II sprain and probabbly would classify as a grade 1 at this point.  Based on progress that we have seen I doubt that we will see him this Saturday.  My best estimation is 2 more weeks.

Hot Air and 04,
You guys either have reading comprehension issues or memory loss 'cause ErikJD chimed in with this beaute,

Eyeball test. The injury looked funky. He's still limping. 280 lb body. Odds are surgery time.
