For all his struggles, he stepped up, big time, at the end and drained four straight free-throws. Hats-off to the kid. That was awesome.

dwaderoy2004

agreed.  Good for him...

Clam Crowder

Very happy with Vander today, pretty good performance by him over all. What a great win!

muboy262

Very clutch. Especially with how much the announcers were bagging on his FT abilities at the end.

brewcity77

Good all-around game, solid D, most points he's scored in 3 weeks, and nice rebounding. Of course, 4/4 FTs in the final minute iced this one away. Glad to see him come through, especially with Junior struggling.

Jimmy Mac just gave him "player of the game"

WarriorHal

Hopefully, this will be a huge confidence boost for the kid. Awesome job in the clutch.

CTWarrior

Huge FTs for him at the end.

We needed him today, too.  Mayo a down game.  Mayo was actually tentative today, first time I've seen him pass up 3s.  I know it may cost us with some mistakes here and there, but I like Mayo to be very aggressive.

Monster dunk on the alley oop too.  Almost reminded me of a tomahawk dunk Doc Rivers had...back in the day.   ;)

I admit it, Vander was huge in the final minute. Beyond clutch. He had to be because Todd had one of those days when he played like a freshman. Gklad it was over for two reason: MU won, and I didn't have to listen to Doris Burke whining about the technical foul.

Not sure. I thought seeing them hitting his first shot by the ball some how stopping on the top of the rim and dropping in would set him up for a good game. Then, he blew a layup, went up weak drive, went 1 and 1 from the line, blew a lay up and then travelled. Happy he hit some FTs at the end. It's got to make him feel good. But his problem is not confidence. He just isn't good around the rim.

Buzz in his post game radio comments was so proud of Blue.  Said he is staying with his guys.  He has so much confidence in him and things like this happen.  Was also asked about Gardner and he responded that he was laid up in the locker room like a whale at Sea World.

LOL at the Gardner comment...good old Buzz.  Great job by Blue at the end.  Definitely the biggest points and super clutch.  We've lost too many games because of missed free throws so that was huge.

Immense clutch performance at the end, and you can't even appreciate the kid stepping up. What is your problem with Blue? Did he sleep with your girlfriend/wife/daughter? Are you the guy that got punched for calling him Vander Orange?

He had a very good game. Was he the only guy to miss a layup today? Did anyone come to him and give him an outlet pass when he traveled? Blue played great. Best he's played in quite awhile. Enjoy it, give him his due, and quit being an assclown just for the sake of it. Your idiocy reflects poorly not just upon yourself, but on the site as a whole, and online Marquette fans as a whole.

I liked that he took that step-back jumper that rimed out.  That is a good shot, and if they start to fall, makes our offense incredibly potent.

are you suggesting that he didn't have a good game?  Does he only have a good game of he never misses a shot?  You are a clown.

Would that be the one against Louisville on the alley-oop from Terrell Schlundt?

He went 2/5....  Second best shooting percentage on the team for the day.  Grabbed seven rebounds.  Two assists.  One turnover (the aforementioned travel.).

Apparently hitting his first shot *did* set him up for a good game.

Where his hand was near the top of the backboard?  That was an unbelievable play on a Nationally Televised game.  To the youngun's, during that era, ESPN was a nothing.  NBC had the game of the week.  One game.  MU/Louisville, Doc makes that play.  Unfortunately, that was the only highlight that day.

THEultimateWARRIOR

Clutch free throws at the end for Blue those are tough for him and the ally-oop slam was sick! He has so much potential

Why doesn't the poster have a right to not like Blue?  Maybe he realizes he's not a good kid.  You CAN be a fan of MU and not be able to stomach Vander Blue and the kind of person he is.  And if Blue "slept" with his girlfriend/wife/daughter, it was probably a sexual assault.  Whether you know it or not, you are defending a really bad guy.

What the f*ck are you talking about????? This is ridiculous! You and Erickdj are an absolute embarrassment. You should be ashamed of yourself posting garbage like this.
