This has to be the one of worst officiated game on both sides of the ball I have ever seen.  Both teams getting screwed.  This is the Big East.  Let them play.

Yeah, I saw that. But you have to save the fighters for another grueling half.

BTW, re: Vander, he's gonna see time as a defender and rebounder. Problem is he can't shoot worth crap.
Did you see that chuck at the rim as he ALWAYS does his move - dribble across the width of the lane and wish the ball into the basket?

St. John's kind of reminds me of MU's team under O'Neill when he played the freshman Key, Mac, and Logterman and played tough teams and took their lumps. By their senior year they made the Sweet 16. St. John's will benefit from this year in the long run.

I think Buzz was saving Vander for the second half he will be able to be aggressive defensively since he has 0 fouls. Need him to pick it up on the offensive end. He look pretty good at the start of this one.

Why the shock?   We have been starting slow lately.   Check.   DG hasn't shown up today.   Blue, after looking good the first two minutes disappears.   Poor senior leadership for the first 10 minutes.    We manifested all of our worst characteristics the first 8 minutes.   Now, with the foul trouble, it will be damned tricky to climb all of the way back.   We've won the games we were supposed to win.    this one is a little tougher.    Digger is looking pretty smart right now.    We were due for a clunker.

Jamail Jones played better (and longer) than I expected.  The first stretch he gave us some nice energy and was pretty decent on defense.   Our run really started with Dwilson and Jones on the floor.   Coudagon is having his worst game in a while and Blue played about as limited minutes as he has all year.   Juan was pretty freshman-like...wow....bad defense, bad on the boards and clumsy with the ball.     But, anything we get from him this year is gravy in my mind and I am excited about his future.

Time for the seniors to step up....this is a winnable game on the road after another awful start.   Cut out the turnovers, take better shots, play good perimeter defense and we can beat this young villanova team.   Get on them early in the second half and mindfrack em'

And  Buzz....never, I mean ever, wear that shirt and tie combo again!
