DJO out for violation of team rules
« on: December 17, 2011, 02:54:40 PM »
Senior guard Darius Johnson-Odom will not play today for violating team rules. That's all that has been told.

WTF is going on?  First Junior, now DJO.  When will the players learn, especially since team is down a starter already.  If true, thank goodness not LSU or Vandy game.

Yeah, he isn't in the starting lineup, so this makes sense. Jesus.

There is an athletic department policy that standardizes a lot of behavior issues and their respective punishments...not up to the coaches in many cases.  He could have simply skipped a class.

What the hell is wrong with these entitled athletes? I'm gettin' pretty PO'ed at this kinda arrogance.
Hooray for Buzz for not eating fecal matter and backing down. They gotta learn that it's a privilege to wear the Warrior jersey.

That would seem unlikely given that his only classes would have been finals this past week.

Crummy, but good for Buzz for standing strong.  Good news is Juan is suited up and possibly available, shoulder is feeling well.

You have no idea what you are talking about.  This "violation of team rules" could be anything from turning homework in late to being late for practice.

Agreed.

Very, very disappointing this comes from DJO. He absolutely knows better no matter the violation.

At this rate, we should start a "Who Sits Out?" contest before every game.

entilted and arrogant isn't exactly the first two words i think of when i think of DJO....more like humble and extremely hard working.  doubt i've ever worked as hard in a year as those kids do while at MU. we've all shown up late for a meeting, slept through a class, etc...hopefully it's that simple of a mistake.

Mayo is currently violating NCU in DJO's place.  But this violation isn't against team rules  :)

My take ... this is about the problems they had last year.  Now they are cracking down on things that they let slide last year.

This. They're basically showing they're in control of the athletic department, and the basketball team doesn't get a free pass.

And this is a good thing.  Better than the individual coaches determining punishment.

If it's 1 game it cant be very serious at all obviously so to me its a non issue as long as it doesnt reoccur. I love that were playing this game without DJO. Find out more of what we got especially when looking towards next year.

I think we're seeing that the Warriors have someone to pick up the scoring slack next year. At least if the Clinic stays around. He is, dare I say, en fuego....

Looks like we have our replacement for DJO in Mayo. Man he is nasty.
