Here is our schedule between today and #1 'cuse on Jan 7.  Anyone worried that any of these are a "trap game."

I worry the trap game is today.

Thoughts?

I agree. I logged on this morning in hopes of seeing the "famous N. Colorado Alums" thread or the "Northern Colorado is evil and must be destroyed" thread and neither is there. Instead, I see articles on LSU. I highly doubt that Buzz and the boys are sitting around reading those and overlooking N. CO, but it seems like we, as fans, are.

If the usual definition of "trap game" involves a team we should absolutely beat, particularly at home, then it's UWM.  I remember last year at the Cell all too well.

If there is one, it's today...but I can't see any way we don't destroy Northern Colorado. We might be looking ahead to LSU on Monday, that's a team that could give us some problems and it's a road game. Can't see it being Milwaukee, partially because I think they're incredibly overrated and partially because there isn't another game for a week after that one.

The ones that right now look like traditional "trap games" are all in the Big East. Villanova in the opener, before a tough road trip to Georgetown and Syracuse. St. John's at home, the "easy" part of a three game homestand that's followed by Pitt and UL. And Rutgers, 2 days before we start a road trip at WVU and Cincy...and because that one's on my birthday.

EDIT: tommy...got those two threads up for ya ;) When in doubt, just make the threads yourself ;D

FWIW -

MU -24.5 over n.co
IU - 9.5 over nd
LOU - 8.0 over mem

Yikes!!  But, +1.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

I'm with you.

And it just goes to show, everything is relative!   ;D
All this talk of rights.  So little talk of responsibilities.

🏀

I don't think we should be worried about a team that just had a week off for finals to not be ready to play today.

Indiana State Sycamores beat Vanderbilt today.  Anyone remember the Sycamores beating anyone since Bird's tenure?

Might end up being Vandy if this loss gets them to come together.

Ugh...Vandy is driving me nuts. Wouldn't that just be the rub if it did bring them together, they certainly have the talent to give us a game. I was looking forward to this as a possible top-10 matchup at the BC, with them possibly being undefeated or maybe having one loss at Louisville.

Instead, blown out at home by Cleveland State, throw away a game they had won about 72 times against Xavier, throw away a game they had won at Louisville, and now a loss to Indiana State? They probably won't even be ranked when they get here.

Which definitely makes it look like a trap game, especially with the start of the Big East season just 3 days later.

UWM is a classic "sandwich" game, with respect to big name opponents before and after, plus the time frame is short. Plus, they gave the Rodents all they wanted.
