Williams was a two-time all American football player at the University of Notre Dame, graduating in 1985 with a bachelor of arts degree. He played professional football in the NFL from 1985 to 1993, while at the same time earning a law degree from the University of San Diego School of Law in 1992. He then practiced law for the Indianapolis-based law firm of Baker & Daniels, before returning to Notre Dame in 1999 to work on licensing and product marketing for the Athletics Department.

This wasn't no lazy hire.  I trust MU did their homework.

I'm all for supporting the new AD.  I knew one of the final 10 and was really pulling for him (totally biased, of course).  Since he didn't get it, lets rally around Mr. Williams as he tries to put MU in the best position athletically going forward.

Give the guy a shot...did the hiring of Buzz a couple years ago set Marquette basketball back? The school probably feels he is a young up and comer.

If he doesn't work out we'll still be able to celebrate "the process". I know some here prefer that to getting the right guy.

That said, his resume' is impressive. Is the ex Domer football guy coming here to bring back the glory that was the Golden Avalanche?
