Source told CBSSports.com that Maui 2012 field is UNC, Texas, Butler, Marquette, Illinois, USC, Mississippi State and Chaminade.

Todd Rosiak reported last year, that MU was going be in the 76st Classic in Anaheim in 2012. We were planning on going to see MU on Turkey Day, Friday and Sunday. Plus, on Saturday we were going to the Notre Dame-USC football game.

L'ville dropped out of Maui and MU took the place. That is the best move for MU. Just sucks for me.

Does Butler have any talent on the roster for the 2012 season?  I just can't see Butler continuing to play at a high level, or having Mack, Hayward, Howard kind of talent.  Stevens can coach but you need some horses too - think Butler will be outclassed in this awesome field..

Good point - I certainly didn't think they'd do much of anything in the NCAA - as they struggled to win the Horizon league.

Crap! Sucks for my family as well. Was going to do a Disneyland trip combined with Anaheim tourney next year. That's another reason for me to dislike pitino.

They will be real solid. Their big man Andrew Smith will be a senior, Marshall who the lenghty Forward from this years team will be a junior and a couple of their shooters from this past years team will be juniors and seniors.

Mix that with a solid recruiting class and possibly that guy from Arkanasas and they will be good.

Yumma Humma.  Just looked up flights from Boston to Maui over Thanksgiving (2011, because 2012 is not available yet) for a ballpark figure.  A cool $1700, with 3 flights each leg, and each leg lasting around 15 hours...
