"Erik Williams has decided to continue his hoop dream at Sam Houston State after transferring from Marquette."

Best of luck to Erik. Hopefully being closer to home and a year to rehab his shoulder will help. Looks like he'll have the opportunity to be the star there, something that was never very likely here. Seems like a great kid, and I really hope things work out for him.

To me that is a little shocking that he transferred to a Southland Conference school, especially SHS, but I guess he should be one of the highest ranked players ever to attend.  Good luck to him and his future.

Hey, at least the dude will be playing ball.  And it's only 80 miles from where he grew up.

Best of luck to Eric.  Where can we catch a SHS game once Eric starts playing.

You would really go watch a Sam Houston State game just to see a transfer that sparsely played for us? That's love.

We love him so much, we even spell his name wrong.

Good luck, EWill.   Enjoy the PT.

That's right.  We love giving nicknames to our players.  Other examples:  JFB, DJO, 'Nique, McSteal, Cubes, 'Zar and Dwayne.

Dwayne's a nickname?!

I think he is playing to the fact that we frequently misspell our players names, even the most famous one.

I do not think we misspelled their names. Their mothers did.
