MU's twitter feed says he was chatting at the game with World Wide Wes, but was on court to visit Ernie Johnson. I don't think that was either he was speaking with while munching on the cone.

Ditto. Buzz, please walk away from the light, walk away, and save your soul...World Wide Wes is the devil incarnate. Walk away.
I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.

Where does Twitter say Buzz was talking to World Wide Wes?

muathletics
Buzz was finishing a 2-day trip that included a speaking gig in Chicago. His courtside visit included a convo with Lebron's agent. #mubb

LeBron's agent is Leon Rose.

I'm not sure Crean has Buzz on his favorites list anymore.  Haven't seen Crean post anything on twitter about Buzz (outside of the waking up on third base thinking he hit a triple message he posted last year) and lord knows he posts about everone.

You're not too far off though, Leon and WWW go way back...

Quote
Earlier in the week, when the Toronto Raptors were in town, I spotted LeBron’s agent, Leon Rose, a close friend of Wes’s from back in the Pro Shoes days. (Rose also happens to be Wes’s attorney.) Ten years ago, Rose’s client list consisted of the itinerant scrub Rick Brunson and a handful of foreign players. Then, in 2002, seemingly out of nowhere, Rose somehow bagged Dajuan Wagner and Allen Iverson. Soon after, he was hired by Richard Hamilton. And then, in 2005, he landed the most desired client in the world, LeBron James.

Rose is coy about his relationship with Wes, but according to many sources, it’s no coincidence that nearly all of Rose’s clients are Wes’s “nephews.” LeBron James was 15 when Wes started attending games at Akron’s St. Vincent–St. Mary. Wes befriended Eddie Jackson, LeBron’s surrogate father, then became acquainted with LeBron’s family and eventually won over LeBron himself by introducing him to his idol, Jay-Z.

We only need to be concerned if Kool Aid Perry was conversing with Buzz. WWW is legit.

I have to say, I don't think that was a Buzz reference. Nobody would accuse Buzz of "waking up on third base." I think Crean was referring to Matta.

Crean is still a douche bag, though.

Nobody would accuse Buzz of waking up on third base? How about those (Chicos and his disciples) who insisted that Buzz was handed the keys to a Ferrari and all he had to do was was turn the car on?

Yes, it was intended for the Marquette coaches.

I am glad someone else saw this.  I meant to post something after the game but got tied up all week.  Great to see him in Chicago!

I have disciples now?  Rock on

If you don't think Buzz had a miracle gig handed to him his first year in which 90% of coaches in America could have gotten us to the NCAAs, you're kidding yourself.  Year 2, Buzz did a fantastic job as many of us have stated time and again.  Year 1 was a layup.

???????  the guy who said the world is going to end tomorrow has disciples.  please don't let it flatter you that people will listen to you.  People will listen to anything.  Year one was not a layup.  I'm not going to look back through posts, but I believe you have stated that the big east that year was bettter than the big east this year.  And we had our PG and one of our top 3 players get injured in the first half of the first game of the hardest part of the schedule.   You are one of the many who believes that the college game is 'a guard's game'.  You have a significant drop in guard play.  MU still beats your beloved Utah St., and they most likely would have gone to the Seeet 16 if they had James.

Absolutely stupid and dismissive of what Buzz did to say that year one was a layup.

No doubt about that. But would you also agree that he did not "wake up on third base." This is a guy who has worked his fanny off. I'd even suggest to you that the author of the tweet in question didn't climb near the ladder that Buzz Williams climbed. Not even close.
