Kansas freshman guard Merv Lindsay is transferring, source told CBSSports.

No idea if we'd have any interest, especially after he didn't do anything at KU, playing only 26 total minutes in 12 games (and only 10 minutes after the New Year), but when I saw his name pop up on Twitter, I thought it might be worth mentioning. I'm sure we have a number of names ahead of him, but Lindsey does have the body type of a Buzz kind of player, though not sure if he has the game.

My guess is Lindsey is a great athlete that just isn't polished. He put up some monster HS numbers, and the interest from Marquette, Kansas, and other high majors indicates he's got some ability, but he might just be better-suited for a mid-major program. I could see him really being a star at that level, but am not sold he'd beat out the more polished players he'd have to compete with at a program like ours or KU's.

I could see him really being a star at that level, but am not sold he'd beat out the more polished players he'd have to compete with at a program like ours or KU's.

Lindsay is not a great athlete and that aspect of his game was the biggest question I had last spring when MU was involved.
