Got to see them up close today and I'm a believer. I had them at a 7.5 out of ten but in person they are much closer to a 9. The "watermark" can only be seen from very close up and even looks better on other players. Here's what it looks like on Otule

(Selfish link drop coming up) If you want to see a few more pictures from today click the link http://blogs.marquettetribune.org/2011/09/10/paint-touches/an-in-depth-look-at-the-jumbotron-shenanigans/. PS- I wasn't sure how to make the picture smaller so as not to take up the whole screen. If anyone can help that would be greatly appreciated.

Cool.  In the last photo of the gallery, you can see Al's face in the 0 of Wilson's jersey.

I actually like the block lettering. It's simple and adds uniqueness to the baby blues.

Want to make the baby blues look unique? Pattern the front after the 76-77 aways. Put "Marquette" below the number. That is unique. An unoriginal font taken off some letterhead is boring and looks like crap.

Well, we were all worried about the boring Nike look - we got something special once again!

I'll admit. They're growing on me.

Thanks Rocky. One more little tidbit from Saturday, no black jerseys for the team this year, although there will be a pink jersey used once. DJO didn't say when.

Oh...they were serious about the pink jersey?  I thought it was a joke.  Should be interesting!

Interesting indeed.  I can understand headbands or shoes, but jerseys?  Don't believe it has ever been done in men's basketball, but here is what Rutger's looked like.

My only dislik of them is with single numbers covering Al's face/body leaving just the outstrecthed arms. just looks odd.

I saw a pic of Todd Mayo wearing the white jerseys, and it looks like the white ones will use the same font as the light blues.

That's it, thanks, I couldn't get it to attach.  Is that the white unis? or just the light blues very faded out from the photo quality?

Agreed...the picture of all 4 jerseys has the white with the wordmark.

That's what I thought also after further review.  The jersey and shorts look like they're the same color as the stripe on the side, which has to be the baby blue since there isn't a white stripe.

I still think they should use that font on all the jerseys.

I think the pinks could be pretty cool if they had some form of the striping down the side...it would have to be the right shade of pink for it not to clash with the blues and gold.  Maybe eliminate the gold and have the stripes in navy/baby blue/white.  That might look ok.

Headbands have to match the jersey color.

Headbands have to match the jersey color.

Wouldn't they make an exception for this type of thing?  I mean, I'm sure MLB would let a team wear hats in honor of the NYPD and FDNY.
Thanks for ruining summer, Canada.
