Marquette Fan

The Marquette Women take their turn trying to knock off another orange team tonight to make the Sweet 16 .  It will be very tough for them though as they have to play #1 seed Tennessee on their home court - Tennessee is 22-0 all-time in the 2nd round of the NCAA Tournament and has never lost at home in the NCAA Tournament (the top 16 seeds used to host in the first and second rounds for many years and they're usually a good seed so they've played at home a lot in the post-season.  The locations are now pre-determined based on bids but if you are hosting in the first and second rounds, you play at home).

The game will be on ESPN2 in Wisconsin and Texas tonight at 6p central - the rest of the country is going to get whatever ESPN decides is the most compelling action.

Go Marquette!

Huge statement game for MU Women.

I hope they can pull it off. A W over a storied Tennessee program would do wonders for Mitchell and the Madams.

Maybe it's from living in Connecticut most of my life but I can't stand the Tennessee women's team.
Go Marquette!
