RPI was vastly difference....Michigan's RPI was much better than ours.

Really...you take RPI (something that was invented before CD players, in case anyone was wondering) over the top teams someone beats?  Hope that RPI Kool-Aid is refreshing.

brewcity77

Well, the Selection Committee clearly used RPI for seeding.

St. John's got a clear path to the Sweet 16. Gonzaga and BYU? Lock them up for second weekend action.

i haven't been paying attention to them, but does Florida deserve a 2?

NoCheese

Florida a 2? No.

It appears MU got little respect by the SC committee relative to the other seeds.

marquette a "last 6 team in"

Nope, especially after losing today.

Did I see that correctly ... we were the last team "bye team" in!

That doesn't explain Utah St....

No way. Kentucky beats them by 16 today, and gets a four?
And Colorado gets left out, but the K-State team they beat three times gets a 5 seed.
The Big Televen teams are mostly overseeded. Really, did Jim Delaney run the committee this year?

Worst. Selection. Committee. Ever.

Norm

Gene Smith from Ohio State was the head of the Selection Committee this year. Talking to Jim Nance right now.

Are these games in the garden?  I don't think they make it that far.

Yeah, plus Kennedy is injured.  I think Gonzaga got themselves a pretty good draw.

I think that's a relatively favorable draw. Not a bad location, Xavier is beatable, and Cuse has already been beaten.

Xavier advances just about every year. They are very solid, and have some very good guards. Shocked but don't mind an 11, but don't like facing X at all. They never seem to back down or come out timid in the tourney like many teams do.

The RPI's formula was readjusted in 2006...the year you graduated.  Just sayin

I think we can finally put to rest the idea that the RPI is not used or greatly reduced.  This is a classic year where it was used and not surprisingly I might add.

We need to a do a better job of scheduling these bottom teams.  MU scraped in...thank God we beat WVU.
