I'm like a turtle, sometimes I get run over by a semi.

Xavier? Wow...11 seed...amazed that we might see Syracuse in the second.

Norm

Indiana St will have a lot of fans in Cleveland facing Syracuse

5 Big East teams in the East?  Doesn't it seem like things could be spread out a little better than that?

chren21

Dont like our draw at all.

NickelDimer

Very suprised...possible SU in second round??
No Finish Line

RyanConroy

I think that's a relatively favorable draw. Not a bad location, Xavier is beatable, and Cuse has already been beaten.

Norm

Michigan an 8 seed and MU an 11? Complete joke. MU 5-12 against Top 25, UM 0-8 against Top 25.

T-Bone

Ugh.  I'm not pleased.  I know we can beat both of them, but...  rough.

Happy to make it 6 years in a row.

How is it not a bad location?  Aside from playing in XU's arena I can think of no worse location.

brewcity77

Like our draw. Xavier we can handle, they aren't the team they were last year, and we've already beaten Syracuse. Still, horrible work by the SC seeding so many teams in one region. You can tell they rushed that.

T-Bone

Cincy vs. Mizzou.  That's gonna be wicked.

Skitch

Cincy and UConn with a potential 2nd round match up as well.

Penn State gets a 10 and we get an 11?  ?-(

WTF?

Clearly the SC is upset about putting 11 Big East teams in. They are setting it up so we all knock each other out early. MU/Syracuse in the 3rd round, now UConn/Cincy.

Also, 4 Big East teams in the East, not 5.

EDIT: socr, Cincy is a 6. How is Mizzou an 11?

MUMac

Michigan getting an 8 seed and PSU a 10 surprised me.

brewcity77

Georgetown is in, lock up 11 bids for the Big East.

JWags85

Illinois is a 9? GTFO. They shouldn't even be in the tourney

RPI was vastly difference....Michigan's RPI was much better than ours.

This is the best case I've ever seen for a drastic revamp of our non-conference scheduling. We have a much better resume than most of the teams I've seen on the 7-10 lines, but our RPI is a drag. Buzz and company need to fix that for the future.

This looks to be another RPI pick to me.  Penn State's RPI 39.  MU's 64.

Michigan's RPI 52.

Whether it's right or wrong, the committee can always fall back on those numbers and say that's the reason.
