wampum-ya gotta ease up on the peyote buttons man.  i thought you couldn't play on home floor or what could be contrued as a home field advantage in the dance??  i'm open for clarifications on this one
Tthat rule does noy apply to Duke. They are exempt from all rules that would affect their chances to win. My guess is that Duke will get a number 1 seed just like just about every year.

It will depend on what they do in the ACC tournament. No way they get one if they don't win their conference title. Though it looks like UNC is doing everything they can to make the Dookies' road easier.

I think there's a pretty good chance we'll be in either Cleveland with a potential match up against Ohio St or Chicago with a potential match up against Kansas.  We seem to be in the 8/9 range.

My guess is Kansas will be playing in Tulsa their opening weekend. My guess is they will have a pod there, as will Texas.

Exactly.....No way Kansas goes anywhere other than Tulsa.

I want this quote to serve as a reminder to the vast majority of scoop posters in regards to the MU BB program.

Oops - missed Tulsa when I was looking through the list of first round sites, and Chicago seemed to be closest after that.  You are right, Kansas will definitely be in Tulsa.

Am I stating the obvious by pointing out that we would have to win a first round game before we play Ohio State or Kansas?  If we are looking to get the best second round matchup, shouldn't we want to be a #16 seed and get Ohio State out of the way early?

We all know that, but trying to figure out our first round opponent is near insanity. I did that on CS the other day and had a list of 18 potential first round opponents. It's much harder to figure out how we match up against that quantity of opponents that are included from the 6 to 11 seed lines than it is to look at the first three seed lines, especially when you can rule out half of those teams (Pitt, ND, Duke, Louisville, Syracuse, UConn) because we already played them.

Good way of thinking of it actually

I saw that on CS - didn't bother to read it but I'm sure it was brilliant.  I just think it's crazy to say that we would rather be a 10 seed than an 8 seed for a better second round matchup.  Having said that if we get UNLV and then BYU I'm booking tickets to the Sweet Sixteen.

I still think at least one pod is going to end up with two Big East teams.  The easiest way to select 11 Big East teams and claim there was no bias in such is to make sure that a few of them eliminate each other before the regional rounds.

Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny.  Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.
