We are a step slow tonight

Hopefully we can recover, but we are just a little off on our rotations after a quick start.

Defensive rotations.  UL, as other teams in recent games, are having wide open 3's and killing MU.

"Traditional" players having a field day against MU.  We have a knack for making these bench players look like superstars

I think it is more fatigue.  We started off quick, but now we look like our feet are in cement.

Early fouls have completely disrupted our rotations.   Third game in 3 nights.    Not giving up hope, but I am not going to lose sleep if we lose this one.   Just not trending well.

Looks like it won't happen tonight unless we can have a ahlf-time transformation like yesterday. Open 3, layup, open 3, TO, layup, open 3. They may be a bit gassed with 3 games in 3 days.

Corner 3 that L'Ville seems to be getting every other possession needs to end as soon as possible.

Agreed tower.  We've done what we need to do to get in the tourney.  Hopefully if we dont win tonight we can get a couple wins in the big one.

Butler 1 for 5
DJO    1 for 6

Team shooting 32% and still in this.

Defend the 3 and we will pull this out.

Agreed. Three point shooters must salivate to play against us. We have terrible defensive schemes for defending the three. Our guys are constantly collapsing to the middle. Must be a Buzz coaching thing.

cannot win with bad games from Butler and DJO.
You heard it here first. Davante Gardner will be a Beast this year.

agreed.  but we are not effective down low like we were the last two games either.  get the high percentage shots to fall and we can withstand the 3 point assault.

MU very poor defending the three. we were fortunate WVU cooled off yesterday. We give teams complete, uncontested looks.

We look completely gassed.  Crowder just missed two bunnies and we aren't getting back on D.  Don't think we have enough in the tank to make a run here.  Hope I'm wrong.

They just hit two more wide opens to go up 12.  Jay Bilas even mentioned that MU "transitional" defense has got to improve.  Just unreal.

Crowder must be tired or something, playing terrible in second half.

I'm impressed with Louisville...their defense the last month or so is exactly where it needs to be for them to make a run in the tourney, and their shooters are getting hot at the right time.  I think we are watching two pretty solid teams.  I'm not thrilled with MU's play tonight, but they're playing a fresh and talented team...

Me too.  Don't like the guy, but Pitino can coach.

Great defense by UL.

MU is shooting less than 30% now, with zero points from Otule/Gardner.  Big difference from WVU game.

Not over yet, 10 to go.

I think we are mentally fatigued as much as physically, if not more.  Honestly, it would not be a huge dissapointment to get some rest before next week rather than play a 4th or 5th game in a row.  Still, I would take more games in NY!

I give our guys credit for hanging in there (hey we are looking as good as Louisville did at this point when they beat us).  But the fatigue really shows.  Missing free throws and open jumpers is the first sign of fatigue.

Might as well play Frozen-a... we win when he's in!  Just not in the cards tonight.  Maybe a late run for the faithful???

I was confident going into the game that they would not be tired, but it sure seems so.  Can tell by the short jumpers, short free throws, slow rotations, etc.  Should be well rested for the tourney!
