whats up with these lineups so far? why would buzz use them now, at the very end of the year?

please note, i'm not criticizing here, i'm just truly perplexed...

Strange to say the least. Offense stagnant on first possession with that lineup. Hopefully that changes.

Because he likely has a game tomorrow to worry about...and maybe a couple more after that.  

And let me also say, he brought them in just before the TV timeout.  Just to give some guys some extended rest.  Pretty common coaching technique.

Buzz heard the criticisms on this board about not playing certain players so he figured he better play them because chat board posters know more than he does!

Otule has 2 fouls..so more Ox.  I wonder if Fulce's knee might be bothering thus more Williams.  Or perhaps, Erik is starting to pass Joe on the depth chart, and Buzz wants to get him a taste of action for next year to incentive him this off season.

Buycks also had 2...possibly wanted to feature Jones with Cadougan for offensive purposes..instead of playing Vander and Cadougan together..

I agree with Sultan.  5 games oin 5 days....we've got to get everyone minutes early in this game.

Butler still had to play more minutes than Buzz would have liked.  No one else to guard Brooks.

Those lineups were in because the media timeout was about 30 seconds away. its gives butler/DJO/Crowder a little added rest. At times, those lineups play 90 seconds - 2 minutes because there is no stoppage of play.

Thought Buzz did a GREAT job last night managing minutes for everyone.  By rotating players in and out he was able to keep JFB to only 31 minutes, hopefully this will keep all their legs fresh for as long as possible.

You never know if you'll be able to late in the game, and we got out to an early lead.

I actually liked the Williams/Jones combo starting 45 seconds before a media timeout.   Have them out there with Buycks and DJO and it shouldn't be a problem.   Otule, Crowder, Butler as the 5th, it doesn't really matter.    Let them fly around (nearly randomly it appeared sometimes) and give Butler and Crowder and extra minute of rest sandwiched around the tv T.O.      Buzz got young guys time and older guys rest during a stretch where we could be playing 5 games in 5 days and some are complaining?   Really?
