Thoughts on UConn game

Just got home from the game. Nice, since it's almost the only BE venue where I can see the Warriors without an overnight.

Tremendous win tonight - makes me feel a lot more secure about the dance. Splurged for tickets right behind press row. It's amazing how big these kids are up close. Jimmy is the man. Jae is a hoss underneath. Vander and Junior were solid on D the whole night. DB came up big. Otule is imptoving by the GD week! Nice to see Van make a shot, and to make some FT's as well. DJO was out of control at times, but the wake-up call was answered in OT. Looks like 27-10 TO & steals - it looked like MU wanted it more, needed it more. Think it was about an 18-4 run after the half which had me down - good comeback, exorcise those LV demons.

Said hello to Todd R. and let him know there are folks in NE who hang on his every word re: MU coverage.
Can't get out to MKE but will be there for SHU in NJ. Go MU!

Final thought - was it the good seats that took away my perspective, or was the defense really cranked up a notch tonight?

Damn, I knew I forgot something. Kudos to Fulce for some good minutes and tough play underneath.

They played with a defensive edge at times, turned them over 17 times, plus 8 or 9 in that
category.  They had to for all the free throws missed and lay-ups.  Again, they come out in
the second half and play truly horrible.  Lost an 11 point lead in 3 minutes.  DJO airball, Jimmy
misses two free throws.  I wonder what they are doing at half time.  They get the ball right
away in the second half and never score?  If they score the first seven they are up 18!  That
is what happened during the Al days.
