Interest is Expanding for Hammons

By Brian Snow, National Recruiting Analyst
Posted Feb 3, 2011

A long time target of the Midwestern powers, A.J. Hammons now has schools from all the power conferences looking to land his services.

Details:
2012 6-foot-10 A.J Hammons From Mouth of the Wilson (VA) Oak Hill Academy

Schools interested include: Ohio State, Indiana, Purdue, Xavier, Illinois, and Marquette , Virginia, Maryland, Texas, + others

Has good academics, still needs to work on his post moves, and "has to get his motor up".

Thanks for posting Scout premium info here yet again.

Did not get it from that site.  An OSU fan/buddy emailed it to me.

This article never says that he "is interested in MU."  It clearly shows we are interested in him.

By that measure it says he is interested in no school.

About the only bad news is for IU because he discovered the world once he went to Oak Hill VA.

MUBurrow

Given that the article seems to acknowledge a preference for smaller schools, and mentions how good it has been for him on and off the court to switch to a more intimate environment, that might be a big + for schools on his list like MU and Xavier.

IMO people who steal from the Scout board should be treated as liberators.

How do you feel about people who steal your stuff?

Dude, the guy didn't know it was from Scout. Let's everyone just ease up a little. These things are usually about intent and should be judged on a case by case basis.

Young is correct that I have a premium account.  But that was not my source.

What is missing in this discussion is it is a public link.  It was not something unique to the premium scout board.

Scout has not "rights" to anything public and I'm not paying $90 year to get public links.  I can set up a Google new search to do that for free.

Why didn't you use Google search the other day...instead of copying and pasting info directly from the premium board?

(Ironically, it took me about 4 minutes of google searching to find said info)

Frankly I did not think anyone would care.  Now that I know it does, it will not happen again.

Good news!  Anyone can quote what I say on MU Scoop free of charge!!!

Luke 6:45   ...A good man produces goodness from the good in his heart; an evil man produces evil out of his store of evil.   Each man speaks from his heart's abundance...

It is better to be fearless and cheerful than cheerless and fearful.

Young, chill out. Does reading the premium opinion articles on the WSJ prevent you from publicly discussing the points that the journalists made?  It isn't an issue of having "class."  If you don't like that other people can get the information you pay for second hand, don't pay for it.  If scout doesn't like that their customers can share their information, they should find a different way to monetize their product.

Just asking people to show some class

::)

Here you go...a link to another site that includes Marquette as an interested party (scroll to the end of the blurb):
