It seems Jimmy Butler plans to get fouled
« Reply #25 on: January 25, 2011, 08:47:14 PM »
I like Jimmy Butler and think he is a solid player. But too often it seems he looks to get fouled rather than to make baskets.

When he drives, he rarely ends up taking a shot that has more than the slimmest chance of going in.

Seems strange.

We again are getting our ass handed to us. Time to start thinking about next year?

Actually, Willie, lets just shut the whole thing down like they were talking 25 years ago.
Luke 6:45   ...A good man produces goodness from the good in his heart; an evil man produces evil out of his store of evil.   Each man speaks from his heart's abundance...

It is better to be fearless and cheerful than cheerless and fearful.

UConn closed with a 22-10 run. Is this another meltdown?

Not liking what I am seeing here. Don't think too many others are either. The stink is starting to smell!

I'll say one thing, UCONN's freshmen (Lamb, Napier and Smith) are alot better than MU's freshman.  Not even close.

Turnovers due to playing too fast and too many defenisve rebounds early-MU has had some bad luck with 3 or 4 In and Outs- I think our luck and defensive effort will turn the 2nd half. It will be interesting if UCONN goes to a zone when the Warriors make a run.

Sure as hell glad that DJO is on our team. He is only one scoring.

That three point foul he made infirst half was dumb, but it was an Academy Award flop by that guy!

DJO follows a bad play with a dumb play with a dunk

Awesome dunk by DJO--then Simpkins calls him darius Odom Johnson. He has done that before.

They compared him to Ben Gordon, then he plays like Ben Stiller and then back to Ben Gordon.

Blue missed layup.......

Next possession, Crowder, missed layup......

We've stopped shooting threes and are concentrating on attacking the hoop.  Results are much better.

Hmmmm.   Maybe Butler doesn't suck and can lead a little.     Much better.

Huge Brick by Blue. What the hell is he taking that shot for? He is sure fading this year.
Where is the guy that said he will be best Guard ever at MU?

Thats the old Jimmy Butler.

MU playing very well with DJO on bench.  JC, DB, VB, Crowder and JFB.

Starting to make the layups, because there have been at least six misses.
